    Hey.

I have just purchased a new slave and second hand master cylinder, i have installed the slave and put in the master and cant get any pressure in any of the lines.

Thinking that it might have been a dodge master (being second hand) i put the original one back in again. It worked before but was leaking.

Im still having the same problem though.

I have bled the system from all 3 points and there seems to be no air in there but still its like the peddal has nothing behing it. When you push it in. It stays on the floor and you have to pull it back up.

    Any ideas? or sugestions.

    Thanks,

    Josh

Yes Josh I had exactly the same problem when I did my NA. Finished up

it was air in the big line that goes to the front of the car. I followed soneone's idea. Disconnected the slave from its mounting and then you can bleed from under the car! Let the slave piston come out but not all the way obviously. Undo the bleed on the slave cylinder then push the piston back in. Then tighten the screw and go through the procedure again. Make sure that the bleed screw is at the highest pointso that all air is expelled from the slave. Repeat until no air coming through plastic tube then bold back onto housing. Now bleed any air from the top of the master cylinder. And last bleed the screw at the front of the engine. This takes a few goes because it has a large diameter. I was bleeding mine then all of a sudden a large air bubble and then clutch was excellent. Congradulations on changing your master cylinder. It's quite a task isn't it. Good luck Josh. Oh and by the way because of the over centre spring in the pedal you don't need anybody to help you as when you push your pedal down it stays on the flloor while you go and tighten up the bleed screw. Sorry for the typos. Must go and have tea soon. Good luck again. Cheers. Clive.
