Pinjarra Races

Not sure if I can make it Dave..
It is the opening of the Pinjarra race season always a good day there..
just depends on finances and weather..

Ravenswood Pub

Hello All
I took a quick drive along the new freeway extension yesterday stopped off at the Ravenswood ( Sorry Michandy I was only stopping for 1 drink then home so never called you)
It took me 32 minutes from Cockburn Central
Anyhow it was absolutely chockers wih bike clubs from all over.. Not gypsys cheaters or deros etc just ordinary clubs but the Corvette car club was there too
Which made me think we definitely need to call in there... but parking on a Sunday is very scarse.... this is a popular haunt for all types.
Also the Kitchen ( which by the way serves the bestest of bestest meals closes @ 2:30pm sharp)

Also I passed 4 coppers with hair dryers on the way down and 2 on the way back.. yeh it is a long weekend and a new road, but we need to set our cruise controls I'm thinkin..

Update and new map

Ok people, we also drove the cruise yesterday and there are some changes.

The map describes the first turn in Armadale as Progress Drive, but it is actually Church Avenue.

The way out of Armadale also is not correct.

No concern though, the new map covers this.

Also, when we got to the Ravenswood pub, we were not impressed (sorry Bobby). Consequently, we have decided that the last stop should be the stop before this one (the Premier Hotel in Pinjarra), which has lots of parking, lots of seating, and wood fired pizzas all day. If we are still there at 6:00 PM, they also have a $8.50 roast.
The only down side (and this apples to the Ravenswood Hotel also) is you should bring mosquito repellant.

I have also taken the advice of my co-pilot, and changed the format of the map so it is MUCH easier to read. Much harder to make, but easier to read.

ps, are we still going to be given traditional "written" maps on the day, or are we expected to print this out and bring it with us.....? i really like the way youve laid the map out, but id still like written directions....ie left at joe street, right at bla street etc...I know, im a fussy prick lol....:zlove:

 

I can do a one page directions sheet for "fussy pricks" like you easily enough and hand it out on the day.

If anyone wants the pretty map they can print it themselves.
