I bought my other zed sight unseen, went purely by the posts in the thread. Advert was done well though and the bloke was willing to haggle (quite a bit i might add) Morel is - spend the time on your advert and make yourself seem friendly, approachable and willing to "look after fellow zed members" and people will in turn make the effort to consider buying your Zed.
That is great advice from Kingy. Car-pricing Psychology 101: If the car is underpriced, people look at the add and think to themselves "That's too good to be true, there must be something wrong with it" = no nibbles. If you jack the price, prospective buyers will often enquire to find out just what it is that makes it special = nibbles and perhaps a sale at less than the advertised price (let them beat your price down a bit - buyer thinks he has done a good deal, and you get what you wanted price-wise). Try again, and good luck.
I must say that the add does say $14000.00 ONO but if you read the guys comments, all he had was $10,000.00, we all know we hate time wasters. Yes had a bit of a shot at him probably because some phone msg's :whatever: Before I placed the add I actually emailed the administrators of this forum for a little guidance for what to sell it for, hence my price stated. I honestly didn't think it would take this long but thats how it is I suppose, so as per all your comments I will make some adjustment but would like to take it to the next level as per my original question that no one has really answered, who in the the AUS300ZX can evaluate the car and give an honest opinion on it and thats to actually look at the car, any ideas. I believe some people don't think it has original KM'S but how wrong they are. or am I really advertising it in the wrong place because all you guys have a Zed anyway:zlove:
Once upon a time ppl went to a car yard to buy a car.... Nowdays they "shop online" first to get a "feel" for what they are looking for. Even if the intent is NOT to buy online the info and related issues is too great to pass up.... Example: I learnt more about the ZX from this and other sites before I paid out the $$$$ for my first ZX, had I not done the research the likelyhood of owning a lemon would have been far higher. I already own 2 ZX's....... but I'm looking for a 3rd ( sorry but yours isnt what I'm after ) I have 2 mates that are also looking for ZX's, although they arent members of this forum they are viewing the forsale section on a daily basis in search of the perfect ZX, they also spend time on other internet sites looking for the 'right car'. Gone are the days when your choices were limited to what the local dealer had on the yard. Kingy
