hopefully hubby's work load has diminished a bit, so that he has some free time to go out on a cruise, poor bugger deserves a break, plenty to repair and sometimes not enough hrs in the day to do them all.

since my car is running now i'm up for a cruise! As long as its still running!!! No Problems since Ztoy came and fixed it!! thanks Alan! still have a couple of things to fix up but should be ok. 18th is good for me!

 

Looks like everyone is keen for the 18th, however I am also going up tonight with a few other cars. Anyone else wants to come pm me for details

 

Damn I'd love to come on the 18th but I have to wear my new rotors in first... A Nebo run probably isn't the best thing for them just yet

 

Come on Kiz, how long do you want to break them in for? Do the usual brake in method, that takes a few minutes, then drive normal for a few days. Done

 

Hahah yeah but I only drive it on weekends, and only if it's more than a 10 minute drive Oh and I haven't finished fitting them yet... will finish tonight now I have wheel nuts!!

I did want to put a couple of hundred k's on them first... but what's this quick method you're referring to?

 

Lol ok, except I though the idea was to reduce the amount of heat in the brakes during wear-in so you don't get hotspots?

 

Nah, as Mikey said. Just drive it more so you can come out Twill be fun

 

I'm down. Haven't done this in a while. Have had the coilovers, tyres and big brakes for a while now and haven't had the chance to punish them.

Heads up, the state traffic dept. have a operation going on this Friday targareting Nebo, Glorious and Samson. These are the state traffic guys, so marked red 'Highway Patrol' Commodores, Golf GTi's, a 300C, A silver and a red Liberty Turbo and a handful of bikes. From what I hear they are targareting bikes but that does not mean they are not going to pull you over. Local traffic guys won't be taking part, and are a bit unhappy that they have to patrol the highway's in their absence

 

Where did you hear that?

Bikes don't play on the hill after sundown, bit too risky for them. It's only people going home and "hoons" out at night.

sorry guys, but i dare say that my car wont b coming along for cruise this time around.....big week at work for the hubby, and by the time he gets home from work, there wont be enough time to get out and meet. Sorry maybe next cruise, but for all that are still going....have fun, be safe, and watch out for the boys in blue
