okay guys i know this has probably been asked 100s of times but there is a part i dont under stand. they are the same apart from this piece of info that i have read ''The TT block has two oil passages plugged inside where the oil filter bracket mounts. The NA has two small check valves in this location. They are plugged in the TT providing more pressure so that the oil will go through the lines to the oil cooler, which returns back to the oil pan. There are check valves on the inside of the TT oil filter bracket where the oil filter screws on, but none on the NA.'' cant for the life of me see what they mean about this part any help would be appreciated
JDM motors don't seem to have that difference, checked mine recently while discussing it on facebook and the NA had the check valves in the tree the same as the TT does.
there is a lot of mis information out there due to the US/LHD vehicles having major differences. Here is the definitive answer for JDM / RHD oil filter tree differences. NA / TT block are the same with blanked galleries on the blocks: JDM NA block: JDM TT block: JDM NA tree with relief valves: JDM TT tree with relief valves: JDM NA tree internal gallery: JDM TT tree internal gallery: Only major difference is that NA tree has the main gallery right in the middle where as the TT has a slightly offset internal bore which also branches off into the oil cooler. I'll be using a thermostatic sandwich plate -> aftermarket oil cooler and for simplicity will be using the NA tree on the TT block.
I do have both Shane, I can tell you the NA tree is exactly the same as the version 2 item you've posted in a previous thread: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329521 Basically this is the JDM NA tree: And this is the JDM TT tree:
