Hey guys I know this isn't zed related but I need your opinions,
Now I'm building a cheap na r31 to drift. I have turbo car so yes it will stay na. I wanna make it fun,
Any who my plans are one of 2 engines and mods now money isnt a big issue but if one will only make slight more power then the other I will go the cheaper option.
    Option 1
Rb30, big high revving cam and springs, shaved head, rb26 plenum and itbs, extractors,

    Option 2
Rb25de, stock cams, extractors, rb26 plenum and itbs,

Both will probably get a water injection kit and alot of advanced timing, or WOT nos.
    Thoughts
    Ryan.

Rb30 stroke is too long for proper revs IMO.

    What's wrong with a RB30ET?

Or chuck a 25 head on the 30 ;) Seen the build on SAU from a while ago? 26 head, built 30, super nice extractors. Looks like he dumped $15k on it. Made 160rwkw :p

    rb30 bottom with a 25 head.

there is a bit of fiddeling around with the timing belt. but it is possable.

mate did it on his R33 with a big chinese turbo. was very fast. until the turbo shat itself.

and get the gtr inlet or a copy.

    I've built a 25/30 before ;) this is just fun, a 25de will sound cool, I think I'm leaning on the 30, don't want a turbo ( yet ) my mate has a 30e+t in his r32 making 420hp lol
I'm just torn between the 2, if I Go 30 it's straight in, no wiring etc so I'll prob go that way. Then turbo it after a while. Plus my mrs is going to learn to Drive hard in it so na will be safer for a while

RB30 will be cheaper, both motors will struggle to make over 110rwkw in any case.

Why not, they're better in every sense.
An RB without a Turbo is crap.
