Here it is, people trying to buy headers from ttzed won't get them unless we can get 10 buyers together. This mod will make my car complete for me, and I know there are other NA drivers that want them just that we need to do it as a group. TTzed need a minimum of 10 buyers to warrant the manufacture. The other option is to get together and buy the jig from them and sell them our selves. There is a large uk market too because the NA's weren't sold there only the privately imported ones. With the exchange rate we would make plenty and they would get them for cheap.

How about advertising the group buy.....>>

    price

The headers are $680 or $600 even for a group buy. Its $990 with HPC ceramic coating if you want them coated. You can find them on ttzed but no point in emailing them till we can get some numbers. As for the Uk site i don't know any does anyone know some so i can get some more buyers.

Ill start a collection of names and eventually get numbers then contact simon. This is great guys, im excited about the possibility of aktually being able to get some now.

    headers

i spoke to simon about headers for NA's

he reckons that it MAY make less compression than the stockies. he reckomended the X pipe and anything cat back, but leave the headers.
i could understand having the current stock ones with a HPC coating ( or new ones with same dimensions HPC coated) but i'm not a believer in bigger ones.
For a turbo i guess it would be better, simply because it also the engine to spool a lot faster (kickin the turbo in a lot faster, obviously)
    but weigh it up guys.

get a cb and a bullbar.

    Still want them

I've spoken to a guy who has bought them and i've spoken to simon no one spoke of this. The guy AZA from oz 300 said it was the best thing he had bought. I'm still keen for a set.

Send me mobile no. and name and type of coating or not fellas. I've got a list started.

I was looking to get some heading in the near future...

I don't think im gonna be a part of this group buy as another member is selling me his (well hopefully...), instead of me starting a new thread i was wondering if there was any point in HPC them, i mean on the TTZ website its like 300 more, if so who does the HPC on them??

    Thanks

    Mike

    confusion

I don't understand what roi was on about either.

The conversation between roi and Simon was about the backpressure. When i spoke to simon he didnt mension this and neither have the people who have bought them.

As far as i know the HPC coating is mosty for cosmetics, looks shiny. I'm sure they will tell you there is some performance increase but i would bargan that its minimal.

And I have seen the cheap headers on ebay but your forgeting that they are for left hand drive. If you buy them you'll have to modify them to get them to fit round the steering rack. In my opinion why spend hundres to get something you know won't fit? Spend a bit more and be more plesed with the product.

There seems to be a bit of confusion....

I'm buying cheap TTZ headers from another forum member, wont say how much but he's getting rid of them, if this doesn't work out ill most likely be part of this deal..

Re: There seems to be a bit of confusion....

I'm not sure How much you rate quality or whatever but there are a variety of eBay sellers that sell N/A headers. Below's link is selling for $175US

    eBaY N/A 90-96 Headers

Not sure about the quality - just some stainless steel ones.

  14. red32

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Definately interested in Simons headers

The one's on ebay are almost always for US Zeds and won't easily fit Aus- or J-spec cars ie right-hand drive.
I'm in for a set, but not HPC-coated (sorry, Chewy)

US headers need to be modifed......>>

The US headers were designed to go on a lefthand drive car, so the right hand pipe hits the steering arm. They can be modified to fit but it is another factor to consider if you decide to buy the ebay items.

    Cheaper headers

Hey guys, I have been looking at the header for the N/A for a while now and it's soooo much cheaper in the U.S.A. The only problem is freight. The headers are roughly about Us$270 for the entire kit including the gasket sets, bolts etc. Only problem is the freight. If we can organize the freight then maybe I can contact these guys and ask them for a better deal is possible.

That is great that they are cheap.......>>

But you have to f**k around and modify them to fit. If you want to pay a workshop for a couple of hours labour at $70 or $80 per hour then go ahead and buy them.

They will not fit straight onto your car so factor that into your pricing.

    Completely agree with you WYKKED

Isn't that what you said in your previous post, i think there might be an echo in here , im getting my headers next week and there is NO CHANCE ill be buying such items from e-bay...

    Im keen

And extractors/headers are essential for any non turbo car.. Roi im sorry is talking bollox here.. any car benefits form headers, - they simply give the pistons equal space to breathe, as they are equal length pipes, where as stock items have a main and seccondary pipes. Our NA's put out 125-140 RW which is pleanty of power to benefit from headers. think of any top flowing engine with hi compression or S/C (not Turbo) and they have headers.

So Im keen - non HPC plz (you cant even see them in out cars)

    my 2 cents worth.

    Frank:cool:
