not that simple A little bit leaner will give the more power of the two. Unfortunately a lean and powerful mix is prone to detonation and hotspotting in the combustion chamber, which is very bad. Thus the best mixes are achieved at richer than 14:1, like 12.5:1 etc. In summary richer than stoichiometrically correct is better because it can give sustained power.
I know it's not simple. But I just wanna know which one is better and I knew that lean is not good. But wondering if it does make power. Thanks for the answer by the way Hmm, I run lean but experience no detonation and makes more power than NAs that I know of with more mods. Running 98 doesn't give any advantage, in fact other NAers with 98 tuned ECU makes less power than mine.
I dont know why you think your running lean if you have a stock ecu. 98 octane definitely adds power if you've taken advantage of it with more advance timming. Reason you may make more power then other na z is better condition engine. But you'll defnitely make even more power running more optimized fuel and timming.
