    I have done quite a bit of searching & couldnt find any information in regards to part numbers or what all is needed to rebuild the NA diff as everything i was able to find was for the TT diff, so hopefully this thresd will be of some use to anybody in the future looking at getting their NA diff rebuild.

    I plan on getting a brand new NA subframe as you cant purchase the subframe bushes on its own & its a good time to install the rear end nismo bushes i got off Rob & possibly get some Ikeya Formula suspension arms aswell, in the next month or so depending on how things work out, so while the subframe & rear suspension gets an overhaul, i would like to get the NA diff rebuilt as a brand new diff is way too expensive, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the part numbers & making sure i have all the correct parts needed for a full rebuild

    https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=6676

    The above is the link to the rebuild kit that Coz lists for rebuilding the NA diff & i was given the below part numbers that make up the kit for a NA diff

    02 :: 38440-N3111 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Side Differential Bearing Non-Turbo Z32
    02 :: 38342-N3100 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Side Diff Non-Turbo Seal Z32
    01 :: 38165-10V00 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Front Pinion Spacer 46.50mm NA Z32
    01 :: 38120-13210 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Front Differential Bearing Non-Turbo NA Z32
    01 :: 38120-10V00 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Differential Seal - Rear, Non-Turbo NA Z32
    01 :: C8189-21G00 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Front Diff Non-Turbo Seal 1990 Z32

    I have also added this to the list even though it isnt included in the rebuild kit:

    Nissan OEM 300ZX Rear Differential Gasket - Non-Turbo
    Part #: 38320-40F02
    https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=4754

    The part number for the brand new NA subframe if anybody is interested is below as the one thats listed on Coz's website has been superseded from what i was told:

    01 :: 55400-44P07 :: Nissan OEM 300ZX Rear Sub Frame – Non-Turbo
    https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=7770

    Is anybody (brisz :p) able to confirm that i have all the parts needed & that the part numbers are correct for my 1992 NA Non-ABS zed? If ive missed anything that should be added to my order, just let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

    Had a quick look and its doing my head in, ABS/non ABS gets hard to identify and if there is a difference, will be easiest going strictly of JDM VIN and model number.

    Which I seem to of lost, can you PM me again please.

    Last time you were unable to find the info with my VIN number as you said it was one of the ones that cant be found with the one i provided you, so did you still want me to pm it you again?

    Why would you want a new subframe?

    As i mentioned in my inital post, subframe bushes cannot be bought individually & only comes already installed as part of a brand new subframe & i do not want to use solid bushes or the energy suspension bushes, so the only option available is to get a new subframe

    Seems like an awfully expensive way to replace bushes.

    When the options are extremely limited & having spend over $800 or so on nismo bushes, its like a long term investment.

    Just like people spend over 2.5k on the 98+ gearbox when they can get a second hand one heaps less...its sort of the same principal

    Plus after the amount of money ive spend on the zed over the years, plus being 20+ years old, i would rather have a brand new subframe with all new bushes than have to worry about issues occuring as I'm hoping it will last another 20 or so years

    Abe have you bought the subframe already?

    If not, just use whiteline subframe bushes. Did mine recently, huge improvement but I wouldn't buy a whole new subframe just for the sake of getting OEM bushes with it??? :eek:

    Mike i havnt bought the subframe yet, most likely will be doing so in January depending how i go with xmas shopping haha

    Hows the zed feel compared to having the stock rubber bushes in? My understanding is that the whiteline subframe bushes are not rubber bushes like stock?

    While that is correct, it won't matter much if you are putting in things like ikeya arms...

    Get some whiteline or energy suspension bushes.

    As for rebuild, here's a handy guide ;) Piccies are gone though, I'll see if I can find them when I get some time.

    In that case consider just getting the whiteline ones. Significantly cheaper than buying a whole new subframe!!!

    Rubber or not they ride just fine. I'm running nismo bushes everywhere else except subframe because you can't bloody buy them from nissan as you know.

    If you're worried about degrading, subframe bushes are away from all the hot stuff and I don't think they'll go off like polyurethane engine mounts would.

    The majority of the ride depends on how good your dampers and springs are. The daily MX5 has stock bushes but really cheap G4 coilovers. It's really bouncy and no where near as compliant as the zed. Sad that the daily is less comfortable than the zed.

    Chrispy thanks a lot for that. It is very handy & if you can find the pics that would be much appreacited.

    Care to explain what you meant by "it won't matter much if you are putting in things like ikeya arms"

    Mikey ive also got the full set of nismo bushes that i got from Rob, however while the whole rear end is coming out to get new bushes installed & the diff replaced & new suspension arms, hence why i wanted to get the new subframe.

    Where did you get the whiteline subframe bushes from & how much were they? I shall look into them & see if they are the better option than getting a new subframe

    I am after a couple things, i want it to last another 10-20years & i dont want to have any issues with them & i want a comfortable ride. Which is why I'm happy to spend the money on getting a new subframe if there isnt any worthy options.

    The ikeya arms are solid rose jointed and will give some knocking and transmit extra noise to the car. If you are that worried about poly bushes in the subframe then don't put rosejointed stuff everywhere.

    I get what you mean. I was actually looking at getting the ikeya arms with rub er bushes rather than rose joints. They do not do them for all their suspension arms, so i was just going to get the ones they sell with the rubber bushes

    Subframe is just a big chunk of metal, unless yours is rusted there's no reason to replace it. My car is already full of nismo bushes and a lot of rose jointed suspension parts. Basically everything apart from lower arms and the subframe still have bushes. Rides great and as mentioned it's actually more comfortable than the daily.

    Hi Abraham,

    These are the part numbers I get for your VIN/model car.

    I have also provided a picture highlighting the part numbers.

    I have also added a few extras for a rebuild, breather, viscous coupling (unavailable) and complete diff assembly without sensors.

    On the right you will see "alternative part numbers" use these as they are the latest, I/C code 2 means they are a direct replacement.

    Also notice the per vehicle column.

    Item number 5 is a spacer that comes in various sizes/part number, that part number is for a 46.5mm, also available 46.8, 45.6, 45.9 and 46.2. The size required probably wont be known until its on the bench.

    As you see throughout the diff there are lots of spacers and they all come in various sizes, if you are going to get a diff specialist to do the rebuild you will find he probably has all these seals, bearings and spacers available to him, possibly cheaper then OEM.

    The viscous coupling that makes the diff an LSD is probably worn and cannot be bought separately, if you are really keen, maybe consider a complete new diff. (hmm looking at the prices, maybe not.)

    The option is to rebuild the unrebuildable viscous coupling.
