My NA has just has a Apexi Pod which i installed on christmas "Thankyou Nan" , but now im saving for a full exhaust, underdrive pulley, piggyback, extractors and some other peices possiblibly even NOS.. much like Chrispy BUT i think everyone is forgetting the cheap mod.. WEIGHT REDUCTION!!, put that car on a diet.. here have a read http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1316770 HAppy NA modding
checkout this link. http://ttzed.com/products/products_index.cfm?grouping=1 I drive an NA too. hoping to just work my way through the list (using different brands though... cant afford stillen). Probalby wont go NOS tho. bit extreme for me. I reckon stage 5 or 6 is a pretty good level to get to. It starts to get a bit extreme after that.
I've only measured it with my Attack Meter and I got a high 14 quarter and a 0-100 of 5.2 Pretty happy with that, was a nice cold night though
depends how far you wana go and what its made off.. you can go from just run of the mill mild steel, right through to lightweight alloys and carbon fibre for a NA go either 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch piping.. X-pipe or stock H pipe, high flow cats, or none at all many combos but i beleive a a good price would be around 1000 or more depending what your after.. :zlove:
It's technically not an NA when you add NOS as that is chemical forced induction I won't go NOS, but I am going to take the NA as far as I am willing to. Probably enough to knock Owen (Tranys) off the top of the NA drag list and maybe knock JEDI-77 off the top of the dyno list Cheers Rob
a good basic mod is to go to DBA slotted rotors and bendix ultimates all around .. you do need to be able to stop quickly .. at all times and in all conditions ..
That was my idea too, looks like I might have another couple of contenders to beat for the 'best NA in Aus'!! A NA with Nos is still NA, jsut not quite as NA as it used to be...
Im all for it man... I wanna see NA's with high dyno numbers and fantastic quarter mile times..... Cheers
the trouble is.. with all that weight reduction comes sacrifice of certain creature comforts and novelties that I am not prepared to give up.... but my car is not a race car, so I'll keep it a fat lardy girl.... Cheers
I'm the same... Still tossing up wether to kick the air-con, hardly ever use it except in the middle of summer on the highway, otherwise the targas are off It might hurt re-sale as bit though, but if the buyer is after a loud, fast, rough riding NA I don't think that will bother them too much I'm also rather partial to carpet too, and my sterio, not a whole lot will be getting out of my car me thinks :zlove:
yep im quite fond of my all blue interior and there is no way they air con is going as the Z is such a hot car i need some way of cooling her down... hahaha bad joke i know
when I replace my air filter do I just put the pod on where the old air filter is? Do I need something else around it, do I need two? cheers.
just follow this guide mate and you will be done in no time.. what air filter do you have by the way? http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/pod/pod.htm
