very cool.. i assume this hasn't taken 7 years

whats the plan for the car?

are you doing the radiator support just to get rid of the curvy bits? my lower rad support is bowed up in the middle from where some douchebag previous jap owner or garage had jacked the car up from that point.. i was thinking about doing the same thing

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

    Interesting new gussets... I like

    reckon they'll work?

Lot of work on the rad support. Mine is bent but new ones are available from CZP - could have achieved a similar result with a UAS tie rod brace.

The radiator support bar was bashed in and looked shit

I don't like the nissan radiator mounts either. Also some clown jacked the car up in the middle of it and bent the thing.

    Cheaper to make than buy

The cost to make a radiator support bar is cheaper than to buy one.

If I had my time again I would have made a zed from

scratch by measuring up the dimensions of the chassis rails to make a rolling chassis and then made a one piece fibreglass body to bolt onto the rails (hot rod style). Next project maybe and with a V12 6L Twin Turbo from a CL600 merc.

    Hi Rob

I rarely get time to come on here but will be posting a more rapid rate of progress. Lots more metal work to come like rear plastic taillights section made all from steel welded in and smoothed out. Slicktop roof and modding the the a-pillars. Proper chassis rails from front to the rear. Flat firewall. No visible brake or clutch setup in the engine bay ... and many more... :)

Depends what you call "the original motor"

From the original motor the only original part is the block and one head :p
Everything else has been upgraded or custom made. I had some hks2530 turbos but they are too small for my needs so am looking at using JWT GTX turbos with a compressor trim/size 67mm/55mm
