but too dark now have to fit tomorrow. They are silver on black and not white on black (The piccy kinda looks white on black)..
Sweet Dude.... Those plates state the obvious. Would have cost you a pcaket, even more than my GT28R Turbo's I reckon.
Re: Well I like them.. I bought them and I guess that is all that matters. yup that is why I got mine .... though I must admit there were A LOT more I wanted but could not come to the price while the 300 still needs maintenance work:thumbsdown:. Everyone at work knows me as Taz... as I am from Tasmania (Claremont, Hobart) for those playing at home ... but they all asked why the 32 ( as I am a little older) and I said it finishes with a Z32 ..... got to hold resale somehow :zlove: hehehehehe
I hope the rear plate fits in the bumper recess Is it a std size or american size, would be a shame to have to bend them!
Nope doesn't fit but have a mod idea to make it fit discretely without damaging the plate (or bumber too much for that matter) - will take shots afterwards to show. Plus I am getting a new rear and front bar shortly anyway.
Re: Nope doesn't fit but have a mod idea to make it fit discretely lol yeah, be a even bigger shame to get a 180$ fine for bending the plates:LOL: interested to see how you make em fit ey, might save me buying us sized plates for the rear.
My rear plate was bent from the complier to make it fit.. didn't know you could get slapped $180 for it though. Should have them fitted this afernoon so will post pic when I finish.
Black Z I hope you realise that a $180 fine is not restricted to triming or bending your plates. The other problem you have with fitting a standard size plate to a Jap/US style bumper is you can't see the plate fully from a 45 degree angle. Mr. Plod will do you for that as well. I wouldn't be too concerned though as there a heaps of Jap imports running around with bent, snipped and cut plates. I suppose when they run out of other things to pick you for, that will be next.
Re: Black Z I hope you realise that a $180 fine is not restricted to yeah mate i got done for the 45degree thing on my sil, 240$ he was gunna slap me with the 180 aswell, but i got offf. it sstupid, you can goto maccas n bend sum1s plate up so no1 can read it, and they get fined, because its your responsibility when u drive it. harsh eh.
It's not a difficult mod They are prestige Plates which are a laminated perspex thing with an aluminium frame. Just remove corner screws in the the frame, run a Stanley blade around inside the rear to release the silicone adhesive and remove the frame. Trim the plate and frame to suit, reassemble using black silicone and fit to car. [/IMG]
It's been said a hundred times so here goes 101. The trick is to order US size plates. They fit perfectly and no visibility probs that i can see. [/IMG]
Re: Nice idea Thanks for pointing out the obvious, but if you take a look, you'll notice that I was replying to the statement about bending/snipping plates to fit, not your original thread about Prestige Plates.
