I'll have a set of Magnaflow Oval type Street Series on in a few weeks. I'll let you know what I think of them.

No its just the name they use between the street models (2.25 and 2.5) and race (3 inch).

With a change in diameter it would change the sound. Overall they are very good sounding mufflers, you wont be dissapointed.

shouldve added this to original post but ive got an n/a and im looking at getting a 2 1/2 inch exhaust from just after the cats all the way to the back with mufflers just mild steel press bent, i was quoted $400 with no resonators or hotdogs or x pipe for it straight through is this a good price? will it be to loud? has anybody used the hks muffers or apexi n1's?

It sounds good like that. That was my setup except in stainless steel, and with dumps and test pipes... mandrel bent. However....
... when you turn on after at least 1 hour being parked, you will smoke up for a bit while, or untill you give the car a few nice revs. This happens when the left and right banks are not "equalised" by a Xpipe/x-flow muffler, or H-Pipe.
Something about drawing oil because of the pulses from each cylander fire or someshit... i dunno... not now...

    Anyway...

...you will end up getting a X-Flow muffler (i did, UAS one... good thing, that is)... so get urself one of them now... not later... or just an X-pipe if your want to be LOUD... I dont think you should though... I reckon a full system with a center muffler sounds excellent... especially up top under WOT and full boost... sounds romper....

    ...any-who.

You'll have trouble getting two Magnaflow mufflers for $400.... They are expensive to buy here, cheap in the states but the postage kills it.

On a NA you will NEED a centre muffler to keep the noise and drone down. It's just too loud without it.

    I love mine :D

HKS Super Draggers and Apexi N1's are LOUD on a NA. Look it up on Youtube, there are a few vids. You will need additional mufflers or hotdogs to make it bearable.
