We got about 25 seconds useable video footage out of about 55 minutes recorded - I need to fire my cameraman
Thanks for the pics Peter And a big thank you to my chauffeurs on the day - Mark (zed4life), Tereza (ZEDDUDE'ette) and Rob (K-Zed). I feel much better now that I've had my RedZed fix!! Great day as usual with some really fine people. Thanks Cliff:zlove:
My Cruise pics... Thanks to K-Zed for another great day of Zed cruising. I'll let you off of that "Rain Man" title for now It was great to meet so many new Zed Cruisers. I look forward to seeing you all at the next one in October - stay tuned! Special mention to Zeddude'ette. It was so nice to meet you again. I hope you're on the mend soon! After leaving the Marina we did another quick pass over the Mountain. Those roads are beautiful - for driving and views. Passenger Seat Accessory (PSA) would like to inform you all that she drove all the way back to Brissy from the Mountain. That girl likes to boost! She's not just a PSA! I better lock my keys up now. My Photos are here Cheers MikeZ
Great day, great people! Another terrific day had by all. A special thanks to Rob (K-Zed) for his time and effort in diagnosis of my on going problem. We have now ruled out the PTU and I'm now looking towards the fuel system. I will watch the air flow sensor closely. Just to let everybody know who saw me on the side of the road with the bonnet up after the cruise.....I got home without any further trouble!! This lady is going to keep me guessing for a while yet! Oh and thanks for your parting suggestion Chris, I've now cleaned that connection as well.
Don't forget to reset your ECU afetr you've done your throttle body cleaning:zlove: disconnect the battery for 30mins (+)
Very inspirational pics Mike Of course it helps that the subject matter is so photogenic:zlove: Cliff
ECU? I've disconnnected the ECU for half an hour and my idle is still a little high (about 1000rpm. When I adjust the idle screw it wont go any lower. It will go higher and if I wind it back fast it seems to drop lower, but then comes back up to 1000rpm. Any suggestions?
Apart from your company - the boost was the bit I enjoyed the most. I'd forgotten how quick these things are when given a bit of wellie. Cliff
Your TPS will need to be adjusted also ...preferrable that it does the idle control rather than the idle screw as this leave the ECU to control the normal idle speed. You really should have a conzult/multimeter to do this but it can be done with some success manually. What's happening is your ECU is trying to adjust idle automatically but it takes it's reading from the TPS. Do a search on adjusting TPS (the black matchbox size unit on passenger side front of plenum) here or on twinturbo.net. There are two screws you loosen and then tilt the unit back/forth to adust idle. Only very small movement is usually required. Alternatively, contact MikeZ as we are doing some work over his place on Sat ...if you dropped in, we could have a go at it for you then.
TPS Thanks Mark. I'm working all day saturday so unfortunately I wont be able to join you guys, but I might have a little go at adjusting it myself. I'll let you know how I go!
