On saturday (dec 2nd) some of the Melb crew had the pleasure of meeting both Maciej and Hanna (i hope spelling is correct). It was a pleasure to meet them, both extremely nice people.. We met them at there hotel in Carlton, at which point we then escorted them back to WYKKED's house for a great ol aussie BBQ. On the way back, we took a scenic route down past the beach. At this point at least the weather was still nice... However, the only down side was the logistics of trying to get 8 zeds (and one pintara) through all the trafic and traffic lights through to the other side of town. Lots of pulling over, lots of waiting and some beeping.. Anyway, we made it to petes house where some late comers slowly trickled in for some afternoon BBQ, zed talk and general socialising... Maciej and Hanna enjoying some good aussie tucker (ok thats my attempt at sounding australliaaan) people hate it when the camera comes out and I take photos when they're eating dougs answer was just to bury his head in his food just some of the gang chilling... it wouldnt be a melb zed event if max didnt get in front of the camera. Here he is showing us all the tricks Mr Miyagi taught him. "wax on daniel san". Well actually, he was kicking the footy, but a great pic I think.. pity maciej and hanna werent in the park at the time as we could have introduced them to some good ol fashion footy... which quickly ended when Al booted the ball into someones backyard.... oh well, maybe we should just stick to working on zeds... and surprise surprise.... thats what happened... a boost leak test on Dans car revealed some leaks which led to more dismantling and searching... not sure why I was meant to photograph this but i had instructions to take a photo, so I did... Maciej then held a mini tech day of his own showing us his impressive shift at will device. If I had and auto I would get one. Lots of interested faces and questions and maybe even a few buyers. Maciej showing us how the little paddle connects to the steering wheel... towards the end of the day, the idea of an afternoon mini cruise went out the window when it started raining... so max decided to put on his UAS strut brace.... actually no, as usual, max watched most of the time as someone else (blipman) installed his strut brace.... "look, really, I'm working.... see my hand is in the shot" All in all, a great relaxing day. Thanks to Pete and Jen for once again hosting the event at there house. There house seems to have become the melb zed centre for all zed related affairs. Many thanks for there patience and hospitality.. Also, as I already stated, it was a pleasure to meet Maciej and Hanna. Hope you had a safe trip back and thoroughly enjoyed australia... Until next time...

Was a great day to chill out was still feeling tired and sick from night before, but didnt stop it from being a good day. Many thanks to pete and jen for hosting the day, great to meet few people i havnt spoke to before. That pic of max kicking :LOL:. Was great to meet our swedish guests, maciej left me a little toy behind that will keep me happy for a while :thumbsup:.
Damn! If I'd known Maciej was gonna fit a SAW kit I woulda stayed but dinner at Rancho 32 called. Even so it was great to meet Hanna and Maciej... very interesting people. And a HUGE thanks again to the management and staff (Jen and Pete can sort that one out between themselves) at Casa Wykked for making their home our home for the day.
Looked like I missed a top day out... Spewing I couldn't make it :angry:! Good reporting Mark, but those security certificates from your server gives me the irritz...:wacko:.
Thanks everybody for a great day! It was a pleasure to meet the Melbourne crew and chat about Zeds. Thanks Pete for organizing and hosting the meeting. Good to see the faces behind the nicknames as well. We came home yesterday evening and the weather was not a pretty sight. +3C, dark and reigny. Wish I could stay longer in Australia...
