People, There is a currently active tread regarding a Z that is entering in the Perth Autosalon. I will most likely be entering my car into the Melbourne Autosalon and was wondering if we should have a Z car area? Dates are October 4th and 5th. Any other Melb Zedders (general entry, my cars not quick enough for power runs etc.) putting cars in, SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE!!! Adam :zlove:
well, we get atleast 5 cars, cordon off an area, get a nice light theme going, and try to get girls to lye naked on our cars seriously though, we can get AUS300ZX club stickers made up, and have a little billboard with pics and that from meets aswell. stats sheets from some of our fastest Zs with Dyno printouts etc... Just to get people to stop underestimating the real monster Z can be. :biggrin:
Im interested in entrying mine for an aus300zx club stand. My zed may not be that blingy or show quality but ill be in guys.
Perth 2007 Here's the post event thread on last years show in Perth. Click Here We entered 6 Zeds from this forum to represent the club. Was a great weekend and if you guys can get enough Zeds together and have a good theme, I recommend it. We all had a lot of fun, despite how stressful or hectic it was... Thats tops So far, we have 3 Zs interested in the Melb show including mine. We will need all the help we can get if this is happening. I never thought of a full on exhibition but a neat stand with some clean Z cars and some power printout/info etc. will be all that is needed. Me and a few mates will be there the whole 2 days so yeah, interests let me know and we can get into booking etc.. Cheers, Adam.
ahhh what a weekend it was too.... next year Perth aus300zx will be back in force don't you worry...... ;-) plans are already in the making....
if i get my paint done by then ill be in.. as long as i can borrow some1s deep dished rims.. as my ones dont look showcarish... mines will b a na stock with a sound system..
I dunno about the rims, hopefully you will get em but NA, twin turbo, nos, v8 conversion, what ever it is doesnt matter, so long as it has a (Z) badge its open entry... cmon man, bring a nice clean painted stocker along, make her look like she rolled of the line back in 89 :zlove:
yehhhh thats the problem... i dont have a zed badge... ill prob have nothing on it full blank and it would still look half decent...
We have forum banners for display at events like this. If it goes ahead you you want to borrow them let me know.
Not to sure as yet on entry fee. But, I believe that after reading the other Perth Z autosalon tread, cost is approx $100per car and extra for electricity etc.. Account in the cost of props or whatever we need (carpet, floor covering etc.) and it will come roughly 150ishhhhhhhhhhhhhh per car. (DONT QOUTE ME ON THAT AS YET).. Still in?

Im cool with $150 for the event. Would love to represent our club at the show. I have always wanted to be in the auto salon.
You'll have a great time! I've had my car in about 6 shows up in Brissie! Not Autosalon yet, but its coming! The atmosphere is amazing and having people asking you questions all day about your car is a great feeling! It would be good to get a z club stand... there aren't many that actually show at the big shows! Show them what they're missing out on! :zlove:
most definatley in !! my zed is stock as a rock atm. in pretty much show quatlity. however.. my 19" rims go on this thursday thursday. paint and new spoiler/ new front get mounted the following thursday. neons inbeded behind the rear wheels and engine bay. engine dress up. new light conversion. and exhaust, is all done over the following weeks.. so all to be done in 2 and a half months. and willing to pay any price to get my car in!! any chance? rod.
No offence, but what is the point off entering stock z's? Isn't the point of this so people don't "underestimate the zed"? I know every time i go to an auto salon i laugh when i see a stock WRX with rims for example. Keep it only to cars that look good, big power, blingy engine bay or a tough sound system
exactly. if you want to impress, only the finest should be on show.. by october 3rd. mine will do jsut that.
