is there a guy in vic who would be able to install my tail shaft i have tried and i can not get the shaft balanced to the gear box, i have tryed every thing i can think of and now i just cbf doing it.

i have added spacers to the center bearing to try and see if that works still nothing.

i have rotated the shaft to the diff and that didnt work either.

the tail shaft its self is balanced. and had that tested.

who would i be able to give my tail shaft too who wont charge an arm and a leg?

maybe your shaft is FUBAR.... get a once peice. either way. installing a tail shaft is easy as.. slide in and tighten up. unless you have a stock unit. then u have 2 bolt up the centre bearing..

man its easy to do it/put it back on, is you car on 4xramps, if so just enough room to climb under, if so all you do is lay down under car where abouts it gose, then put the tail shaft on ur chest/top of ur body, then lift it up(its heavy i know, and if you drop it, it also herts as it hits ur chest/groin, anywho put the shaft in where it gose onto ur diff aline the 4bolts even if you have to put one or 2 bolts in just to hold in place, then put the shaft into the back of the gearbox, and have the middle kinda bent, so it fits in. then push it up, make sure the metal chunky assed washer(look alike) are used as spacers rather than washers, by placing them between the body and the metal bracket where the centre bairing is supported, and push the bolt thru and hand tighten, then but the rest of the bolts on the end of shaft where diff is and tighten enough, dont swing off it as its way too hard to undo if you stuff something up. then b4 you put ur exhaust back on take it for a test run, and yes ur zed will be very loud like a massive v8, sounds kinda kool but gets police attention real quick. lol i know from experience. if your tailshaft still has viabrations, this usually means your joints in the tail shaft are rooted, not the centre bairing, i dont know how to call the links something like cv joints, these usually are old and warn easy was is to see if they are rooted, is when you move them slowly if they like click/have notches when you move them backwards and forwards, if thats the reason, you can have them repaired, but its prolly cheaper if you get a 1peice tailshaft made, using your old one.

hope this is some help to you. only if you lived in brisbane i would have that tailshaft fitted with in 10mins, iv done it that many times. hmm good luck

    regards Shaun

I have had the tail shaft reconditioned and then balanced.

As you said is how i installed it, it still vibrates tho i dont know what i can be now. might be another joint that is bent that i need to get replaced but i dont think so. it looks like it is the tail shaft tho from the vibrations through the center of the car.

im sending in car to jo tomorrow and i hope he will be able to help me fix this problem.

ill keep you up to date.
