got a set of AMS manifolds on the way in wondering if i will need to pull the engine. i'm sure it would be a lot easier to do if the engine is out but if any one has done it with the engine in, whats harder removing engine or doing it in the bay
All in all it can be done in the car but you will spend less time just pulling the Engine. Just my.o2 from my experience. Then you can also get an over all of the Engine and replace what needs to be replaced that you can not usually easily access. Again this is just my opinion.
if you were considering ceramic coating them, I'd try smashing the manifold heat shield and maybe you can get to all the bolts.
