Sorry if I bug some people about this but after searching the forum I still don't have a definite answer. I'm going to remove the EGR valve whilst changing my clutch and wondering what is the exact size of the bolt that will block the hole to the exhaust manifold? Is it 21mm or 22mm x 1.5mm thread? I still don't have a definite answer so if someone knows for sure, could you please help me with this. Thanks heaps!
i have seen it posted somewhere before but i forgot where... what i did was the connecting pipe you pull off, get a welder to weld the hole up in the bolt that screws in the manifold...then just put it back in....
I'd consider the down side of remioving the EGR. It's part of the emission control systems for the zed and you may fail an inspection (if you have a pedantic inspector) without it and may have to reinstall it...
I just measured a plug as supplied in the 300 Degree EGR Bypass kit. The plug thread had a 22mm diameter and the pitch was 1.5mm.
If you cut the hard pipe from the egr to the manifold, it not only makes the removal of the egr easier, but then you can get a ring spanner on the bolt in the manifold to remove it. Then head down to the local bolt guy, and he should have something to suite.
Have the same kit and spot on with the measurments. I don't know if I'd bother buying the same kit again though, it's nice and shiny but seriously you don't get to ever see the bling. Just do as beaver suggested
