    Great day

Ok, I would like to say thanks to everyone who attended my Birthday drinks and garage sale, most parts sold and I think a great time was had by all.
Secondly I have to thank everyone that attended the car show today even after a late night last night, the turn out wasn't too great but I think we all did quite well and the standard of the cars was good. Thanks to Brock and Willphiz for supplying the sun/rain shelters ;).
Thirdly, Thankyou to Ross for taking some awsome photo's and going out of his way to be here after only just getting back from his trip, Champion effort mate :zlove::zlove::zlove:
I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and thankyou to all for attending :zlove:

got to say it was nice seeing some zeds that actually

    run:)

i loved the gt40 and one of the xu1s and a few other animals. it is funny though loitering around the 300zx area you would hear comments like 'what are these' and 'hate to have to work on one of these'. Maybe a laminated piece of card with some details would have enlightened people and blown there minds.

It was nice to see a show like this and a great location as well.

    had a good time.

    Yeah

I have to agree, a lot of prople asked about the zeds and what they were.
One thing I did pick up on though was that a lot of the guys with the hot rods and show cars were a bit rude saying that we had no place being there coz, and I quote "they are just jap crap". I heard that a few times yesterday.
It pi$$ed me off a bit but I think that next year I will get a couple of other clubs involved and show them that jap crap can look and go better than a lot of their cars :zlove:
    End of rant

A bit of an uphill battle there Andy. Those guys are a bit one eyed to say the least.

Some people can appreciate automotive beauty in all it's forms but some think that their cars are the be all and end all.

Have you ever seen one of those Rods take a corner!:eek::eek:

lol... Dont be disheartened by those comments Andy. They appreciate different things obviously. "Jap crap" is what is makes todays cars soo great. The Z32 would have decimated all had there not been a "Gentleman's agreement" to limit 300hp on the Z32 at the time. If anyone owning a "hot rod" or "muscle car" wants a drag next year... F@#n bring it  Pink slips?

each to there own really, i'm sure there were just as many comments about people thinking rods are a waste of space. I saw a few guys running through the ford area and ditto for the holdens, so I think the love/hate might have been spread far and wide. I loved the diversity of cars on show:drool:.

yeah a stronger jap car presence is badly needed, we were very much the "outsiders" in every regard lol............

we cant match the old school mustangs, camaros and kingswoods with 300zx's, just to different and from a different time in automotive design.......not comparable cars.....the 240 and 260z guys though, well thats a different story!

like i said, we should request a spot more in the middle of the show next time, instead of being in fron t of the toilets or hiddem out of site down the end......
