    Hello everyone,

I'm nearly at the stage of choosing a fuel filter for my new setup and i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or information on the following types of filters.

This one looks the goods and has been recommended to me. Good for 300psi and up to 1000hp supposedly. And filters to 10 microns. $70US

I like the look of this Aeromotive canister style one. It would be slightly easier to mount where I want it to go and given it's size you would think it would have more surface area so better for flow and filtering. The only info on it says it can flow "1500 lb/h with a pressure drop of less that one psi" It also filters to 10 microns and has a max pressure of 200 psi. $70US

I can't work out how they can measure it in pounds though. I converted it by weight and it comes out at 680 kilos/h. So would that mean (assuming roughly a kilo per litre) that it can flow 680 litres per hour?

There is also some dual port canister style ones that would be easier to use with my twin feed rails and save me some cost in fittings that i'm looking at too such as this.
This one does 5 microns, flows 225gph (or 850L) but is more expensive, dosen't look as good either IMO. :D it's also $130US! pretty much ruling this one out now

    Just found this one

Trickflow, another "1500lb/h" jobby, 10 microns, and 2000psi damn. This one is also $70US

So any info to help me make up my mind (or offer alternatives) would be appreciated. :D

just in case fuel pressure spikes to 2000 psi, you'll be safe
That's if the engine, hoses, clamps and fuel tank don't all blow first :p
haha well if my opinion means anything, i think the first one looks rather cool. But i'd say go for the twin in, twin out as it'll save you fittings

Well truth be told, it will save me one Y fitting, about $37au I think, but the unit costs about $60US more than every other filter, so there's some pretty false economy for ya ;)

I've got one of the trickflow ones here. Not real impressed with the size of the actual filter inside. REALLY small. One filter the same area as the diamater of the body
