Well finally got to brissy and picked up my new baby, waiting for me t the airport in brisbane. many thansk to Niall (Rollin) for dropping the car off so I could begin my journey back home. The first thing I was greeted with at the carpark valet service was wow is that your car, what an awesome colour, and I had never seen it before wasimpressed by the reaction I just recieved. By the way NEVER leave cars at valet parking it doesnt matter what time of the day you leave it there you get charged a full 24 hour period, ie 12.01 am to 11.5p pm is a 24 hour period. So if you drop car off at 11.00pm thats still classed as a 1 day period, sso you could imagine the shock I got for the valet fees. Anyway after the shpock of haveing to pay and arguing the fact was glad to get her and my was I impressed Rollin had her all clean and shmick was gleaming. Here in front of me was my new aquasition, 1 harliquin blueish 300zx. I was so happy, into the car after spending some time drooling over the colour and then off to see a couple of members who offered me their time to help put on some bits and my new hid lights for the drive back home.
I have to say a huge big thanks to all who I had met and the help I was given, I was really impressed with the commadrie and help given to me at the drop of a hat. Thanks guys if ever in Adelaide I hope I can return the favour. nothing I asked or needed was a problem and can only say what a fantastic bunch of guys, thanks a million boys. Now after about 4 hours of chin wagging and fitting bits i was to pick up my partner at coolangata airport and start our drive back home. Late at nite 8.30pm she steps off the plane and every one was admiring the colour of the car and the shine it had, by the way I did stop and was her again, crisspy a couple of times as she had some brissy rain and dust on her......, now cant drive back to Adelaide with a dirty car can we? So here we are at the airport ready to head back home, now which way mmmmmm, oh well lets follow this road, so off we go all fuelled up and down the highway we go, only to find 3 hours later we are back 80 kms further up than down, which is the way we were supposed to go, oh well was a nice drive with top off, car that is, in the nite with the heat of brissy weather. Rested a bit and headed off, lets try again, so we begin our journey and just drove till we got tired, rested coffee and drove. Stopped in Surfers, new castle, sydney, wagga wagga and the list goes on, we drove from Saturday nite till thursday morning which is when we got bacck to Adelaide. I have to say what a fantastic drive nearly 3000 km later car never ever skipped a beat and the fuel consumption was incredible. We spent just under $400 in fuel for all that distance and I sat on a steady pace of 100km, though a few times i did try my hand at the top speed and got to 160-170km, but sense got the better of me and back to a more legal speed. never the less all in all the drive was sensational, tiring but great. Roads some parts were 40km and that was for 1 part of about 2 hours at that speed due to floods washing road away, that was a killer but it was all good. Now.............I have to say 1 HUGE and ENORMOUS thanks to Niall ( Rollin) for all the work he did on the car, his time and his constant barrage from me over 3 months of questions after questions and his great patience and help will never be forgotten and no amount of words can say thank you. He had the baby running like a swiss clock, smooth with power , ( he did his ecu tweaking) and wow what a huge difference,...........and the car never missed a beat once. A huge thanks to the guys that I met in brissy that help with the bits and pieces put onto the car and their time and stories of their z experiences. All in all a good laugh was had before the long drive back home and the drive, though very tiring and exhausting was just great.thanks to all and everyone of you and Rollin......thanks guys a million times over........
Now to enjoy her back home here in lil old SA........:br::br::br:

Awesome to see someone doing a decent trip in their Z - way too many people seem to be too scared to do a few thousand Km's in them non stop - its what they are built for!

I'm in the planning process of a trip from Brisbane to do the great ocean road, and then maybe back via bathurst - using as many non main roads as possible......:D
