    Hey everyone,

I'm looking to change my clutch soon on my 1992 twin turbo as its slipping during hard launches (not that I launch the thing every day) but the pedal is engaging close to the top aswell and the only thing I have was a recipt from when the clutch was changed by the previous owner around 7 years ago. basically I've heard that lightweight flywheels are bad cause sometimes the clutch won't engage when the pedal is pressed.

I've had this issue on a standard flywheel so I'm not too sure what to go on.

Basically I just want some feedback from people who use lightweights.

The clutch will be a F1 racing stage 3 clutch kit. So 6puck sprung.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    George

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

I don't know about that rumour of the clutch not engaging :\ but I do know I have the f1 stage 3 with chrome molly flywheel and I love it to death.

    Well from what I've read.

No point in it for me. Cause I'm buying from America and shipping it here I thought it was worth it but I get alot of sydney peak hour going to work and back that there will be no point going down the lightweight route at this stage.

I had a stage 3 f1 clutch before in heavy traffic and it was fine. So ill just get that and go with the stock flywheel.

I had it on my NA, and when I had the 4 puck in the Rolla.

Basically wouldn't happen every time but once a week when it was really hot it would just stay engaged even with the pedal down and you'd have to pump the clutch to get it to disengage again.

George........the clutch disengages when you put your foot on the clutch pedal!
I think you need to dismantle your clutch & inspect the components.
When you reassemble it, with either the parts you have now, or replacements, make sure it is correctly adjusted & change the fluid.
There is nothing wrong with a lightweight flywheel if it suits your application.

Yeah I checked out the two threads that I got linked too.
And people were saying dont do it if you drive alot, and they would go back to standard if they could so I'm just gonna go with that.

Plus saves me money on buying it.
And yeah the TT is my daily drive lots of traffic. It doesn't do many l's but yeah it's a bit bad when it's bumper to bumper both ways.
