Hey guys recently my tail light blew so I replaced it, but before I did the warning 'light' would come on the dash every time I pushed the brakes telling me the light was blown, but now I replaced it and it still lights up, but all the lights are working, does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks
check globe is correct wattage/voltage. its easy to mistake the 24v for a 12v, and to get wrong wattage (i once made that error). Perhaps there is another globe blown. The warning light should not illuminate if there isnt a fault. Or...there may be a wiring issue/short thats triggering off Warning lamp
The wattage and voltage is correct im sure about that, but i dont think anything is shorting it out, everything seems to be in the right place and working well?
mate i had the same problem. although mine has stopped for the time being. look up this forum members previous post : click here and he has a thread about his problem with the box. its either the black box on the drivers side rear section, behind the plastic or the fuse. read his post anyways.
It's located near the drivers side brake light assembly. That's the unit that determines if your "lights" light comes on
Also if you've got stock wing with centre brake light, note there are THREE globes in that. Are they all working?
All good guys im just an idiot i blew 3 brake lights at once, both right hand side and the inner left hand side one. So i bought a spare set and replaced only the outer right hand side one thinking there was only break lights on the outside left and right sides but i soon realised that the light was coming on because the inside left and right globes where also blow ! fixed them up now
