Ha HA HA, No there was a Red TT Manual 4 sale at Lewiston, Was hoping someone could view it for me as I'm in Victoria, i spoke to the guy this morning and he's just traded it in at a Toyota dealer, He had it on carsales for 10.5k only got $6k trade in for it, The one that got away. Cheers Dave
Ask him where he traded it. The caryard might not want a Zed on their lot, and they might be willing to sell it immediately for the trade in price or similar. Most dealer (ie Toyota, Ford, Holden etc) car yards don't really want older cars on their lots, so they tend to on-sell old trade ins to private car yards. Lewiston is near Gawler, around 40km north of Adelaide.The Toyota dealer may just be Peter Kittle Toyota, which is at Parafield, around 10 mins drive from my place. Thanks Dangerous, He traded it at Claire Valley Toyota but he hasn't taken it to them yet, I think he's doing that Tomorrow. He rang them this morning to see if the deal could be changed to no trade in but they wouldn't wear it.
Shame. Claire is around 160 km north of Adelaide, and is a reasonably small 'country' town. They'll probably have a hard time shifting it, unless one of the employees wants it. It would still be worth while getting the dealer's number, and ringing them after a few days. Good luck if you decide to track it down.
Why on earth would you take it to Claire Valley Toyo. Must have been a bargain hilux or something there that interested him. Keep an eye out in the trading post. When my old man traded his 300zx in at a nissan dealership, it was less than a week before we saw it on the T/Post website. Valued at 6K. It too was red. And a hardtop. Dangerous... so you're somewhat a northern'er. What colour zed have you got? Probably have seen you about.
Hi Sanouske - Golden Grove area - there's a lot of Zeds lurking in garages around my area - mine included. We have a midnight blue 2 seater manual TT in pretty good nick, but the kids complain when I try to cram them in the boot area , and we have just bought a midnight blue 2+2 manual TT - this one needs some work before it's roadworthy though. If you're heading out to Mallala, I'll catch up with you there, but I won't be in my Zed. I'll be a 'pit girl' for the day
He told me they cut him the best deal, he traded a 2001 Toyota and the Z and got 11k for both, I'm not real sure that's such a great deal, unless he got 10k off the new car. He had the Z on carsales for 10.5k so he really took a hit on it. I'm wondering if the dealer may have already done a deal with the trade on the Z. It's just had a new engine and Turbo's with all reciepts, someone will get a pretty good one I think.
