If anyone is contemplating re-trimming seats with leather here's some pics of a pair I got done with a leather set from interiorinnovations.com
I took the seats and leather covers to an experienced marine and auto trimmer. Their opinion of the leather covers were that the leather was
utter crap and the covers were a poor fit to the seats (seats out of a low mileage car so the original foam was in good condition). They were so
impressed that when I mentioned I had another leather kit for another set of seats - they said they weren't prepared to do another set.
Anyway, not here to bag, just passing on feedback from an experienced (30yrs) upholster.
On the upside, when I compare the look of the seats to the many pics of Z32's leather seats in the many sales brochures I have, I think the result
is very similar in appearance. Perhaps Nissan choose some pretty ordinary quality leather (although I wouldn't be surprised if the OEM leather was
    slightly thicker).
And below the pics of my seats are some pics from a recently for sale, crazy-low mileage Z in the US. Lighting wasn't ideal for the pics I took but
outdoors, very close to OEM look.

It isn't a fun job, not surprised they didn't want to do it again. I know I don't.

The OEM leather is horrid stuff.

I redid mine, and asides from the horrible little ring clip things it wasn't that bad.

  4. For leather that is of lesser quality, the end result is great.
