Don't you deserve a holiday??? And don't you also deserve some more money??? Well, seeing as you answered YES to both of those questions, why not come to QLD and do my interior??? :thumbup:You know it makes sense!
Thanks for the compliments guys. Funny, an italian customer of mine questioned why anyone would put that colour leather into a red sports car... so I asked him if he'd ever seen a Ferrari! His face gradually went as red as the paint code
I was just saying its to good of a price to be 'the best leather' as you did say and i complimented you on the fit no need to get your nickers in a knot but my bad yours is a 2 seater was thinking you were 2+2 so its about right but relax im not a hater so don't know why you jump at the chance to slag me in posts
My apologies. I felt you came across as 'hating'. Yes it is a 2+0, and i see your reason. :zlove: On another note.... This is just exquisite.... :O
WOW....How Clean is your car!!!! The interior is great as is all the interiors on this post!.... But what tickles my fancy is when you see a car that is so clean and well detailed! Your car is in top nick!!! throughout!
I've been holding back on doing my doors. I can see you had a problem in the front upper corner in the picture. What's the trick with the doors ? Does the leather stretch enough to get around the upper and lower rear corners ? How do you cut along the top edge from the armrest and forwards ?
Thanks, try to keep em clean these days, had some in the past which I didn't keep clean! ...sorry, getting a bit off topic now!
That looks fantastic CARS, as a fellow red zed owner I am now reconsidering my choice of leather colours for when I finally get around to a retrim.
the right leather choice makes all the difference but doing a poor job can make the best leather look like shit. the group buy covers look great but some look better because of the quality of the workmanship. pad it, stretch it,re do the bits that you dont like but do a decent job or you might as well have kept the tweed.
I haven't cleaned the cut up yet - sorry. Basically, the tip here is to use a black permanent marker . Doesn't 100% hide it, but when the door's closed, you are hard pressed to see it. Using this picture as a guide, start at the bottom and go to the right and up. then when that's done, go left. You will end up with it bunching, but you can hide that in the seatbelt cutout (as you cut it out ) You use a popstick to push the leather into the "gaps" all around, then when that's done, use a stanley blade to cut it. Be very careful! It's about 1.5 hours per door trim.
or plan b works well. remove tweed remove glue add armorall tadar!!!!! done with no wrinkles. thanks to who ever posted originally.
leather group buy pictures. Installed my seats in the car today. I had someone install the leather on the seats as I did not want to attamp this. I installed the Console lid, handbrake boot & handle and arm rest on the doors. I am fairly happy with the finished product. The leather on the seats has quite a few marks on them, obviosly scaring on the cow hide. But that is real leather after all. Any way I hope you all like it. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100688.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100692.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100689.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100682.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100681.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100677.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100668.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n499/simmowilson/P6100695.jpg
