i have just put my rebuilt engine back in my 300zx and started it up only to find it leaking on to the turbo and im slowly trying to figure where the leak is coming from.
i think its coming from the side of the head my question is what ate the 2 threded holes at the back of the head? whats ment to be here and is this a place water could be coming from?
ive included a picture to help you help me

Pressure test the cooling system if you are chasing a coolant leak.

Currently doing that atm it's safe to say it's not holding pressure

    That would be expected.

It's just gurgling and spitting water fro. Some where behind the exhaust mount

It's not coming from the plug to the left of the two holes you circled in your pic is it?

Quite likely I'll post a reply some time next week when I pull the motor

have you done all the under plenum coolant line deletes?

what about the tt hard lines into and out of the turbos, they are in that general area as well.

get under the car with a torch and see if you can see it squirting/leaking

The top hole is used for when an NA exhaust manifold is used as the flange is in the opposite configuration. If that flange plate was not there you would see each exhaust port has four holes so the stud orientation can be changed to suit.

The bottom hole is not used in either TT or NA.

    Follow up
Just letting you know I pulled the engine turns out one of the waterlines (metal) was blocked returning the water causing the turbo line to spit and spew out water at high revs and also yess I have the throttle body bypass
Just letting you guys know because I had seeing problems on here with no out comes
    Thanks guys
