As the title suggests i'm having huge problems with the last allen key bolet to take the hard pipes off. Have tried using a spanner for extra leverage but feels like it might just be turning in the head. I've sprayed it with WD-40 numerous tim but no luck. Any suggestions as to what else i can do ???

Also i was reading on concept Z Performance about this item

Is it worthi it or just stay with the stock thermostat. Anything else i should change while i'm doing it. Getting new hose clamps as i still have the stock 2 wire design and i almost stripped the them completly getting the bastards off.

iv just removed mine and they were stuck in there VERY tight, i sprayed them with wd40 and let it sit for a few hours, got a decent set of allen keys (extra long keys btw) and basically did the same as you (be warned dont use the ball end of your allem keys if they have the ball on the end for angles etc, mine snapped off in the bolt). as i was saying make sure you have the correct size key and give it all shes got, my key swisted something feirce almost to braeking point then the bolt let go (smashing my knuckles into the engine), so i can say they do come off but you will almost have to break something to get em off.

btw if our keys have the ball on the end then file/grind it off, thats what i did when it broke.
    good luck
    Andrew.

Best tool I bought for this job was a 3/8" drive 6mm hex socket, cost about $10. You can then use a small extension bar and ratchet and it comes out easy.
