Hey guys so i'm nearly finished these upgrades for Liam so i've decided to put a thread up to show some progress. yes iphone pictures but better than nothing.

He came to me with his LHS sideskirt demolished after he ran over a rock

A New UAS bar and a New TWINZ rear bar

I was surprised to find that the UAS bar fitted up perfectly without any modulations, after feeling how light the fiberglass was I prepared for the worst (No offense to UAS its just the fiberglass ways)

The TwinZ bar is a great make. Strong as and has a little bit of give unlike most. I had to make some small cuts in the underside to make way for the tow hooks, rather then removing them off the chassis.

The sideskirt was fun to rebulid, only issue was traying to make the end cap back up without have pictures or the other skirt nearby. by I reckon its nearly spot on.

any more info / photos of what was required to make the twinz fit? Is Laam's a 2+2 or 2+0?

Laam's is a 2+2 no modifications apart from a small square cutout underneath where the tow hooks poke through you can see them in the picture but not the cutout. I'll upload one later

should add that the mounting bracket off the stock bar (the 20 nuts inside the boot) has been taken off the stock bar and added to the Twin Z

    Thanks mate

    nowhere near the country hahah.

South East Suburbs Melbourne. send me a pm of what you need as I am very flexible with different things. like another customer of mine needs a front bar painted up, I am painting mine up so that his car doesn't spend any time off the road until the change over for fitment.

Yep, Brad is eager to help out to keep your car on the road, my mirrors are getting repainted, so currently his mirrors are on my car.

Also he is painting his brake calipers and we will do a swap over to reduce down time.

Makes it easy, bring on Sunday

    Wow what a day

So 9am crack of dawn we got stuck into getting Liam's old kit off and the new one on and then a full detail.

We also had Lidz rock up and receive a full detail too, we we're supposed to roll his rear guards but that is postponed for another session.

I would like to thank Tim and Liam for their help today and I hope you guys are happy with the work carried out.

    PICS :D:D:D:D:D:D

I painted the TwinZ lower section in a texture coat to give it that OEM look and it turned out just the way it should.

Looks fantastic! What is this texture coat you speak of, though? I can guess what what it does, but what sort of a look does it achieve compared to not using it?

It's used to match/mimic genuine oem texture plastic. for example HSV GTS bar inserts/fog light sections etc. Also ford laser and other model bars have a strip of texture coat through the top of it to break up the body work. I could have just painted it a charcoal but it wouldnt have given it an OEM look like I really wanted to.

Unlike gargoyles where he went for a colour coding throughout his TwinZ

its just an each to their own thing.

I may have to invest in this idea for when I do mine ;)

    Thanks Painter!!
