since then there have been quite a few new owners of our cars who may not be aware of a security weakness regarding original Nissan keys. This is what I was surprised to find -
Key Security - original thread  looks like you were cut off mid thread - here is the original thread - and thanks -- it is interesting reading  original thread - click me !
I cut and pasted and it didn't work - first mistake then I reposted on a new thread instead of posting on this one - second mistake :embarrassed::embarrassed: Anyway Henpecked has sorted my mess out for me (thanks) - he did what I wanted to do but I didn't know how. Will have to work on my posting skills quite obviously - I still don't even know how to post pictures!!
Standard Z security is piss-poor Security on the Zed is not equal to current day thieves skills. I suggest you ignore whatever protection was on a '89 Zed and install multiple security / imobiliser systems. Any car is stealable, but my Godfather probably needs a flat-bed truck with the alarm screaming due to multiple levels of imobilisation. It's a bitch to get started because of the steps involved, but worth it IMO. Having said that, the titanium key although not really giving any level of security is a good looker. Just my opinion. Cheers, Peter
Very true Peter - after the recent thefts I think the more levels of security the better even if they are a pain to initiate. Cheers. Clive.
Hey Zedophile - if you are going to start a new thread, at least lock the old one - so that we do not have people "reviving it" by putting new posts there, and having two identical subject threads on the front page ? Yes  I now its far more MY fault then yours that they are replying to a 2004 post - - but how about locking the old one ? I put a redirect on it but only you can lock it, just go back to it and at the bottom of your display will be a "lock thread" option, just click that and it will all link together nicely.:LOL::thumbsup: cheers
