They've had some very nice looking zeds in that place...

I can't speak for their mechanical condition, but they've looked very nice... A pink one, and a sparkley blue one in particular...

i went and had a chat with these guyz...

    hi adrian,

i went down to those guy last friday to have a chat about an r32 gtr, but was very disappointed by their service...these guyz are very arrogant and don't really know what they are talking about at all...for example i asked "are there any mods done to this car?"...he looked at the shell of the car and said "yeah ummm, rims"...which is fair nuff had rims, but also had aftermarket stereo, struts, rear wiper, tacho to name a few...but nope no extra info:thumbsdown:...personally i don't appreciate that type of service:thumbsdown: because if thats how they are before you buy, imagine how bad the service would be after you have purchased it!

and if u are talking about that red 300, bro that has been there since i came up to brisbane and that was almost 4 months ago, dunno how long b4 that it wz there...but at the end of the day its your choice, but i personally wouldn't advice u to deal with em

My personal preference is to buy privately

as it is easier to organise and perform inspections and you can also get a better price for the car.

I've been there twice, the first time I had a young guy who was very helpful, though didn't know too much (I didn't know that CRX had a VTEC engine!) The second time I went there with a mate looking at MR2's and we wanted a drive and they had convenianlty 'lost' the keys

All that and there prices seem a little over inflated, still better than Street Machines though...

CRX's can come with VTEC engines stock, but it was only on j-spec vehicles, and considering they are an import yard, it is highly likely it did.
    Engine code: B16A1
Whereas the aus-spec came with at best d16a8, which is what I have in mine.

So confused with all the mixed feelings

it is the red one, I don't want to make the same mistake as I did with my last car. The bucket of crap (which was a SUPRA:thumbsdown:) gave me nothing but problems. I hope to make the right choice this time around and it seems that there is alot of support from you guy's. Tommorrow I'm looking at a 90 model TT in silver and still keeping my options open with the red one and if all is well I'll be driving one of these baby's by next week. I will get it checked out before I buy just to give me peace of mind. I will let you guy's know what the mechanics find, Thanks.

    Cheers

Since you live in QLD, you have the luxury of being able to get zed4life to inspect the car for you.

I would strongly suggest that you do so.

Edit: I have no personal experience with zed4life, but the praise he receives on this forum should be testament enough.

if its ajm there really good

i have never bought from them but one day had a long chat with the boss there he was an knew exactly what he was doing and seemed like a good person, my mate bought a r33 from them a few years ago and it was good the only problem was the coil packs wich they replaced under warenty no problems, like every dealer they will try and get as much as they can off you but i dont think they sell crap , if you mean street machines i dont think there anywhere as good

can only reinforce the content of this post .... apart from tech expertise,

mark is an incredibly caring, responsible individual with a commitment to zeds that leaves one wondering if he did not have a hand in designing the beasts .. you could not do better for a consultant ...!!!:thumbsup:

    Very upsetting

Tried looking up ZEDCARE in the yellow pages and white pages so I could take the silver 300zx to the Zedcare workshop but couldn't find it. Found Amecs number and got it inspected and was upset that someone tried to sell me a bucket of crap. I was told the car was in good condition by the owner and the list found was huge. It goes something like this.

    - Rear tyres worn inside edge
    - Play in left rear tie rod
    - Gearbox mount split
    - Clutch slave cylinder leaking
    - Rear main seal leaking (wash and recheck)
    - Rocker covers leaking (wash and recheck)
    - Front steering rack boots split
    - Power steering pump leaking (possible hose, wash and recheck)
    - Radius rod bushes split
    - Hand brake requires adjusting
    - Brake and clutch pedal rubbers missing
    - Wiper blades poor
    - Chips in windscreen
    - Split intake hose on right throttle body
    - All drive belts cracked

and then came the cooling system,

Pressure tested the cooling system and found radiator side tank leaking, slight leak at left hand turbo.

Left hand front panel damage evident, rack pulling marks evident on sills and gaps in left door uneven.

Test drove vehicle and found slight noise from input shaft bearing.

I thought I'd leave the best till last,
MILAGE found on timing belt sticker does not match MILAGE on instrument cluster. (Instrument cluster has been remove and milage has been changed)

The guy's at the workshop recommended that I didn't buy this 300zx. Best $55.00 I had ever spent.

To top it off the owner of the car told me he had just had it roadworthied, HOW???
