Just what I need Geoff >> How much & where from. Whats the overall length. I've tried other avenues to get the same style & continually come up against a brick wall. My present mufflers are the same design as yours, except for one small change. I have 3" inlets & the outlet tips are 4". Any info would be appreciated. Cheers Kerry
These were a steel paid $125 each + $60 to ship. 24 inches long. Had em under the car, they fit perfect. Identical to the stock muffler in length but not as wide.fitting should be piss easy. Got em form Npower ebay under Muffler. he got more! And there quality all the way. Im wraped cause ive seen the same thing double his price. See all the details at at Npower. And by the way i dont no this dude. Geoff.
I'm interested but Npower has zero feedback and nothing for sale. Did you spell it right? Might be easier to just paste a link straight to it
Ross, I've sent >> a email to them & I'm waiting for a reply, for exactly the same sizes as you have asked about. As soon as I have some feed back I'll PM you with the details. Cheers Kerry
This may help! Item Name: 2-1/2" Oval Body Muffler - Twin Double Layer Tips Size: INLET DIAMETER: 2-1/2" BODY SIZE: 9" X 5" OUTLET DIAMETER: 2 X 3-1/2" OVERALL LENGTH: 24" Description: The inner tubing of our mufflers are manufactured from the highest quality heat-resistant 409 stainless steel, while the muffler body and outer casing is made of non-magnetic 304 stainless steel--STRONG & DURABLE, THIS MUFFLER WILL PROBABLY OUTLAST YOUR CAR! Our mufflers undergo several polishing processes to give them their mirror-like shine When upgrading to a straight-thru type muffler, you can expect from 4-10 HP, depending on the application/Car model Performance-tuning exhausts are critical to utilize maximum horsepower output. Our high performance Mufflers can boost your HP by improving the airflow of the high pressure gases exiting the exhaust system. The "straight thru" design will significantly reduce the power robbing backpressure of stock factory mufflers- Delivers a deep, smooth sound-not a high pitched squeal like cheaper mufflers! Super Duty Construction- Fiberglass/Stainless steel wool packed resonator
Ain't it the Truth >> But doesn't it confuse others, when asked, you tell them its a 6 cylinder & all they can see are 4 pipes.:LOL::LOL: Cheers Kerry
a newbie, igno question .. but how would they go on an N/A ....???? ANY REAL VALUE ...?????:unsure::unsure:
How do these straight thru designs go sound/noise wise on stockish system? Wouldn't mind a cannon style 2.5 inlet and 3 inch tip but don't wanna attract the Nazi's
I just got my pair of these same mufflers yesterday Yes they are an impressive item and for the price, can't go wrong. The guy you need to contact is Mr. Han Xu and his ebay user name is nahux. When I asked about noise levels he reckons about the same as a cannon muffler with a removable silencer fitted. When you look into one end you can see straight out the other side, I really do hope they are not too loud. But they sure do look tough and really shiny:thumbsup: The deal I made with him was a second muffler for the price of the winning bid ($120ea.) and $40 freight for the two. Just need to buy a few mandrels and some shiny stainless pipe and get welding.
Yeah I found his ebay site earlier on But arnt yours straight-thru's as well, or does the fact that yours has 2 outlets make it a bit quieter than a cannon? And does that mean the straight thru cannon-style jobs are illegally loud unless they have the silencer in place? (..which would kill performance when its on)
