japanese navigator/tv would it work in aus ?

    hi every1 !
    i just bought my car,
    and its got this navigator/tv thingy
    and i think its running a japanese cd
    * would any1 know how to get this thing work in Australia ?

    Nope - won't work in Aus

    Easier to buy an Aus spec version than to try to get the original one to work.

    sounds like a soarer

    some of those came with nav/TV, but no they dont work here unless you get the converter, which is meant to be extremly expensive, and not worth it.Its like the stock radio, if you dont have the converter, you cant pick up FM, Japan uses NTSC, we use PAL, plus the signal is probably different.

    my car came with a navigator jobbie...

    from sony ... I rang sony and they quoted about
    $2000 to make it work here
    totally not worth it when u can get a new aus spec one for cheaper.

    had an adzest unit. thats why i asked what car since he recently crashed his zed

    damn, i got jipped >_<! he said , i only nee

    the guy who sold me the car said " all you have to change is the cd and modify the chip within the deck, will only cost about 200 all up"
    argggggg
    yeah its a skyline :)
