Hey people was just cruisin through some jap website and came accross this kit. For about $3,628.30 AUD not delivered we too could have a kit like this. Just thought there might be a few people that would love this. :D

The people from HPI magazine featured that zed in a recent edition. Thats the
wide body kit for me, sure gives it that ultimate supercar look.

That is an awesome kit, but add about 30% for tax and duty etc, then getting it fitted, then a full re-spray, it would be close or more than $10k.

Some people would pay that to be different! Plus you get a good respray out of it ;) Its a shame we get taxes and duty costs on things like these, where we cannot source them from anywhere else...I can understand if its australian made so they want to encourage us to buy australian...but this would be my wide-body of choice. I think apart from teh front spoiler it has the best lines and shapes for the zed!

I had a look at this one, but it worked out very expensive. Plus it is only availale for 2+2's No 2 seaters.
    I had worked out a bit of a deal with a local bodyshop to get one here;

    terms were:
    I pay for the Kit
Bodyshop pays for shipping, GST, etc
Bodyshop is ALLOWED to mould the kit, and i make nothing from the profit
I have to get it fitted and painted through them.
All up this would have cost me around $9000 (which isnt that bad for what you get), but i didnt want to see heaps of Z out there with the same kit - for that price i want be unique. call me selfish! :D

If anyone is 100% interested, i can pass on the details. but i dont want to send time wasters thier way. sorry. :p :)

    Cheers James

    Kit

Been a while since i've imported anything but we used to dodge the tax by having the person on the other and send it as a gift on the international papers. hehe. Still what an awesome looking kit. And airfreight would be the fastest but most expensive i think for the du luck kit for my old soarer cost around 1600 mark for freight plus wat insurance was. I just love the style of this kit

Personally, I don't think it's that expensive, my kit and respray is going to cost ~ $6-7k already. I was just saying it so people don't get all hyped up about a group buy from looking at the cost price of the kit alone which is what has happened several times and why I opted to just buy a kit stand-alone.

The price of the kit only includes the side modifications right? The front is TBK and the rear is abflug and they're meant to be purchased according the the buyers taste? Same with the bonnet I think.. Correct me if I'm wrong though..

love this kit, every time i see it i just stare at the car.

i think you'll find though that as mentioned above, respray etc. is needed, but this car has had a lot of work put into it.
when you start doing widebody kits and mods such as this, a lot of people stick the kit on, and respray. to really make it look effective, and flow with the lines of the car, a lot of attention to detail is required, which hence equals more money, plenty of sanding, boggging, prep work etc.

still would be nice to have the money to do this sort of thing.

    Ummmmm, sweeeeet....

It sure is a beautiful Z. I often come back to these pics for my desktop wallpaper. The bodykit just looks so awesome and the colour is brilliant! (2nd best colour after black... )

If cost wasn't a problem, I'd be up for it. Following the GB on widebody kits a few months ago, probably not too many people looking for one at the moment, but we can all afford to dream, can't we? :zlove:

Agreed. Although, I wouldn't want a lot of copies of the kit either, so if it was cheaper I probably wouldn't be interested.
