So I'm looking for a Twin turbo, targa Z and found this http://carpoint.com.au/all-cars/pri...294963448&seot=1&__Nne=15&trecs=144&silo=1011 Not sure if it's a bit over the top... anyway all body kits I've seen are from 90-96 just wondering if they have just made a mistake and it fits 89 as well? Or is 89 unique in some way that body kit's won't fit? Thank you in advance.
Yes they are the same. A lot of people list them as a '90 as that's when the American's first got them. Japan got them mid '89.
Apart from calling it a Z31 he states "Won't need much for a RWC". So why not do what has to be done and sell it with RWC? Protect yourself by making any purchase conditional on RWC findings.
Had a slight feeling it wasn't a z31 I was hoping to ask a Vic member to check it out, which would hopefully be more useful than a RWC Thanks for having a look Mikey
Yeah Chrispy will be an 'expert' by then! - should be able to get in done in a single tech day no problem! - especially now he's being a slack uni student again!
yeah it looks to good to be true and the guy doesnt have a clue what hes talking about looks dodgy take it for a test drive and see.
I've been thinking that too, but the price just keeps going around and around my head, 4.8k! 6k or so under most Targa twin turbo's! Not sure how believeable those K's are though...
Simple answer! for that price they will not be genuine kms!.......but don't be disheartened! just try & do your homework & see if someone who knows Z's inside & out will take a look at it for you?? - maybe put up a new thread asking one of the local Z gurus if they can help you out! You'd be surprised what an offer of a free case of beer or bottle of their favorite poison will do! For example I just witnessed a member pick up an NA on the weekend for $2K! .......needs a fair bit of work!........but apart from the auto trans being shot (about a $2K fix!).......the rest of the car should clean up quite well all things considered!.......but the bonus surprise!.......the engine was a replacement motor from Japan!......WYKKED said it pulled some of the best test figures he's ever seen!.........so there ARE bargains out there to be found! :zlove:.......but generally they will need a LOT of TLC in one way or another!
The zed advertised had a new engine put in with 'only' 65,000k's on it. Like every other halfcut that comes in Chassis could have 300,000 on it for all we know.
Thats exactly the plan haha Your friend is lucky, congrats to him. Thought it would be alot worse for 2k!
Yeah, there must be a warehouse that has a million vg30detts all at 65,000 kms on them. As you know, once the Japanese clock up this mileage, they leave the car at home. -Kirill
