Is that Power steering problem??

Hi everyone,

My Zed steering sometime really heavy but sometime back to normal. and got some sound come out from the front part of engine. I just done the major service at ultra tune.... and the report dose not have any problem about power steering.......:wacko:
i would like to know is that my power steering pump dead?

dam man ultra tune! i would not trust those guys as far as i could throw em.:thumbsdown:
but anyway sounds like it might be a problem with the pump or fluid. have you checked the powersteering belt? perhaps it might be loose.

everyone seems to have this problem...no one can put a finger on it yet...

 

I would suggest that it is a faulty sensor of some sort

A couple to check though:
- speed sensor on gearbox, when this comes loose then your speedo wont read anything and the steering goes hard.
- steering sensor on front right wheel well - there are two sensors I have been told - not sure of exact location, but your problem definately sounds sensor related.

I have had the speed sensor issue - hopefully fix it soon.

 

my speedo is work fine... so i think that is not the gearbox sensor problem.....
maybe the p/s belt is too tight to cause the pump dead..... im not too sure....
but if the pump have a problem on it, will it cause the steering sometime is extremity heavy ( like the car which do not has power steering ) but some time is back to normal?

it is really danger.... i try once, the steering is during heavy stage when i turning, the steering sudden back to normal...... nearing crash the car which is beside of me :angry:
