    Or worth it

My intercooler has had a hole punched in it by some arsehole who backed into me, he has only damaged the end tank though, would it be easier to get this welded up or buy a new cooler, how much roughly would welding cost me?

Not sure of the price to repair, but there is an aluminium welding shop at Brookvale(in behind Warringah Mall). They repaired a smashed outboard motor leg for me a few years ago.:zlove:

is it a stock or aftermarket one....

if its a stocker then just get a new one, will be cheap as chips if not free, otherwise as suggested all metals can be welded, for a cost......depends on if its bent or actually broken though as well, remember you dont want welding slag in the core!!

    Cast ally or pressed sheet?

Cast ally is really hard to weld, have to use the right wire and heat it up nice and hot before welding. I wouldn't be worried about slag, if the welder can weld ally there won't be a problem ;) If it's stock just buy a new one.
