BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP. 2 stroke horsepower in a barrel! I wouldn't bother on a street car, rotors love fuel like Eric loves speed.
Not after the whole car Chrispy, I know it only came in the cosmo. Going to keep my eyes open for a 20b if i can find one to rebuild and then put it in a rx7 series3. Keep it na with carby.
Yeah I know. You hardly ever see them in Cosmo's still Halfcut from Japland, or buy off someone here in a club.
Your right about that. Down here is a late curvy model RX7 with a basically stock apart from a mild extended port job 20b which runs as a sports sedan. Not only does it go like a dog with its arse shot off but sounds simply amazing at full noise. Not much short of a really good BDA on 48 Dells @9000 gives me wood but that 20b definitely gets some stirring going on down there!!!! L8r E
20b cranks can be sorced from aftermarket companies then its a matter of buying the 13b components to build it, ie 2 intermeadiate plates and the end plates. from there you would need intake and exhaust manifolds but again aftermarket is available. These engines are modular so building a tripple rotor is not so har if you have the parts. Truth is I was actually looking at series 1 with 13b turbo conversions when I bought my Z, my 2 favourite lines of cars. I often wondered about a 13b turbo in a 280z lots of room behind the font crossmember to drop one of those for great weight distribution.
If you check viczcar.com there are both 240Zs with 20Bs and XR6T conversions there. XR6T is in the builds thread 20B is on the front page.
Can't think of anything worse in the zed...rotors aren't made for GT cars. You want an all alloy piston motor with monster torque, push it as far back into the firewall as you can...there's enough room to get the grinder and lumpy in there to push an engine back 5"
