Do I have to remove the whole centre console etc. Just so I know what I am in for as I will be removing them on Monday, if it's not raining  They are wet from my Zed getting flooded. My baby is going again which is a big relief :D
    Thanx Fran :zlove:

its an easy job fran, yes you will have to remove the console ,seats, and also the plastic strips holding it down on the door sills, also the base rear seat if you have a 2+2 ,good to hear its up and running again !!!
have you found new carpet for it,there was a few people looking for carpet and were struggling to find any

Thanx Simon, no I don't have new carpet. It is in

perfect condition but got wet and I want to make sure the underlay is dry properly. So was thinking of taking it out to dry it. I know how to remove the seats as I recovered them with Max's group buy ones, they are easy to get out and so are the door sills but I have never removed the centre console.. Yes it is good to have my baby back on the road, I had to dry out the ECU and started it with another battery as mine was dead. Put my battery back in and it charged ok, not sure why it went dead? Maybe the ECU didn't send a message to charge? All seems good now though and I am sooo happy :zlove: :D :biggrin:Thanx Fran

It looked too hard when I was trying to dry my carpet out. I might be wrong but it looked like the dash needed to come out to get it out in one piece. I took out the seats and put some big foam blocks under the carpet to hold it up off the floor and left it out in the sun with the doors open for a couple of days.

yeah there is a bit that crosses the trans tunnel up under the dash, it was a pain in the ass and I had the dash out at the time too! also the carpet is stuck down quite well at the back on top of the trans tunnel and mine tore a little when pulling it off. I could have been gentler though lol.

It was an arkward job but not too hard.
I would really recommend the idea already suggested of just removing the seats and consoles etc and just chocking up the carpet on some blocks and let the air circulate. Maybe even stick a little fan heater pointing under the carpet and move it around every half hour or so.

    Good luck

I pulled out the seats and just rolled the carpet up off the sills when I was drying mine out, leaving the rest in place. Had a heap of towels to dry out the underlay with and had fans on it for a day or so. I think you would need to remove the dash and heater unit to get the carpet up properly.
I was reading on a 4wd forum last night about a woman who had her fourby flooded by her husband and cleaned the muddy water smell out of the carpet using preen and a steam mop, aparantly it got the smell out completely so that could be an idea for you.
Good news that the ecu is still working at least!
