For those without an account with 300ZXClub, Rob has referenced the Tuner_D thread. I think he came on here once... but don't quote me.

His shipping quote was absolutely insane, a few hundred dollars, for a some leather seat covers and leather pieces to stick on to the interior of your car. I am unsure if it would be worth doing unless you got a few people in to share shipping.

Also it might be worth noting that towards the end of the thread there were some unhappy customers with issues relating to non-delivery and communication.

Only one unhappy camper I can see and he was given a full refund?

Oh and one guy complaining on 24/5 that he is waiting for an email but then he posts 17/6 that he has done the install so communication can't have been that bad!

For $350USD it'd be worth spending a bit on postage. There's at least $600AUD worth of leather if you were to buy the hides yourself, plus the labour....

I agree, that's why I am a bit concerned about whether it really is leather. The term leather seems to get a right bashing on these seat cover merchants.

For real leather it looks too cheap. Anyone know whether it really is leather? If so, it looks attractive.

Ad says "cow hide leather" but I don't really have anything else to go on. Send an email?

My retrim took two hides (both bought group buy, $300 each) plus thousands in labour. I would think if this kit is real leather it would be a good buy even if it worked out at $1000AUD, considering it is pre cut and stitched etc etc

I agree Rob - I must have misssed the cow hide leather reference. This makes it even more interesting, because most leather products are pig or sheep, with cow hide being the up market product.

    This deserves some more research.

BTW, I heard once that Rolls Royce use Danish leather exclusively because under their animal cruelty laws barbed wire is illegal in Denmark, so the hides will be un-marked.
