Is it possible to replace the non fabric areas of the interior with leather or vinyl to update the look a bit?

I'm referring to the areas around the window, the dash and along the targa release latch.

Has anyone done it in their car?

The area around the targa latch would be of interest to me... cos the vinyl stuff is comming off on mine.

You can re-trim any part of the interior if you are willing to pay for a de

cent job or DIY. Most people who DIY just re-do already trimmed bits. If you can get a good quality adhesive and staple gun, it wouldn't be hard to DIY. I plan on doing mine once my engine is done. You can get good quality leather i.e. from the suppliers of BMW and Mercedes for around $3-400 a sheet. From memory I worked out a sheet would be enough to do both doors and most of the glove box/console area.
