The interior lights no longer come on, and without any light switch on the radio/clock will work. However if you open a door or switch alight on the clock resets. My thoughts is the always on power has a short somewhere and I have check the right cabin fuse box but they are all ok. Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Ok, I have found out the door/light switch problem is a fault cause by the always on failing.

So my only problem is finding where the always on power cable is failing. Anyone got ideas on testing? My guess is it's after the ecu because I can start the engine and most things still work.

    Hit the wiring diagrams

links to the service manual are in the tech section. They are not that scary.
Just a matter of tracing back along the line from the fuse.

Almost always the problem will be associated where some work has been performed - behind stereo etc. Any electrical goodies fitted previously?

If you get stuck or don't like electrics, give me a buzz. I love these sorts of challenges.
