Hey guys, so i thought id post here seeing as i cant find help elsewhere online. I need to take the intake manifold for a 85 Z31 out. I dont know how similar the Z32s are but its worth a shot. Ive taken out the six studs holding the intake down and undone all the piping around it (seemingly) but it wont come out. Are there any little tricks im missing? Cheers.
have you disconnected the egr pipe? runs from exhaust to plenum on the z31 i think..... if i remember correctly, there may be some small 8/10mm head bolts at the very front and or rear of the plenum as will, on the outside edge. check those...
the only reason it wont come off once the egr is off is if it is glued down. a few sharp hits with a soft hammer will shock it free.
