Maybe a silly question, but injector no1 is first injector on the bottom left looking at the engine from the front correct? There is a big number 1 marked on the right side about where injector 2 which is a little confusing?

I have the timing light hooked up on the first coil pack input but getting timing of 27 degrees with the cas at about half way which seems very strange. The car is definetely warmed up, when cold the reading is off the scale so well above 30. Am i doing something wrong?

    Yes ...

No 1 cyl is driver's side front right. Make sure engine is at operating temp (above 70degC), idle normal.

    thnx K-zed,

something funny is going on, I think the cas is stuffed, will try to swap it with my one and see what happens. I thought the belt was off by a tooth or 2 but same thing is happening after a new timing belt correctly installed. When I set the timing to 15 degrees cas poisition is nearly all the way to the left and car drives like its set on 5 degrees not 15. The pulley is stock. Anyone has any other suggestions?
