Hey Guys, I want to buy an Monaro CV6 for my wife as the family car. Cos im not selling the "Z"!I have chosen a Monaro because she wants something sporty with 2 doors and I want something we can go bush camping in and tow a caravan. So Monaro fits the bill.I can't find any information on reliability of the Monaro CV6. Have you Guys heard of anything going wrong? Also, I have searched the country on the web for a CV6 and can only find heaps of CV8's and only one CV6. Are the CV6 owners that happy with them that they are not selling? What was the ratio of 6's to 8's sold when released?Any help would be appreciated. Happy Zeding.:-Z

    Hey Gerhard......>>

Ban an email to Andrew Bode (ABODE), he works for Holden and should be able to find the information you want. If you are still having problems let me know as my best friends brother builds the show cars for Holden.

    As far as I know....

the CV6's are not made any more, only the CV8's are which is why you may have trouble finding a CV6. Could be wrong, but I'm sure thats what I heard.Cheers

not sure if totally the same...

but the engine and blower should be the same as a normal holden. I had a commodore sedan as a company car once and this car was flogged by all who drove it, non stop for the life of the car (110,000klms)every opportunity to speed, spin the wheels etc etc was done to this car, i had the thing bogged on a farm once up to the doors and driven on thousands of klms of country gravel and bitumen at 160-180kmh for hours on end when possible. It was caned in the country for a week then flogged in the city for a week non stop for 2 years and never once missed a beat. The car was bullet proof, always serviced on time though. As far as i know the CV6 should be the same.
I would rather the V8 though for resale.;)

Will give you a call this week

I got your mobil number from your profile. Also saw your 118KW reading. Looks like the same dyno mine was done on, but my number was 178kw.You should have a drive when we meet so you can feel the differance.BTW my work number is 9567 7671.8D
