    Hi all,

I went out today and bought some goodies for my car while waiting for it to arrive from Japan.

I got an indash 7" widescreen, a power inverter, a car stereo with audio inputs, an xbox for the car, 160gb harddrive and 2 wireless network routers. Needless to say, I'm now broke...

The plan was a fairly simple arrangement - the modded xbox with harddrive in the car with the 7" widescreen, hooked up to the router so i can transfer movies, music, whatever from my computer at home without having to burn dvds or move the xbox, and for setup reasons.

After reading about the install of the notebook and use of that datascan software I'd very much like to integrate the diagnostic readouts with gauges and everything into the install. Does anyone have any advice on running this software using Linux on the xbox? Or am I better off running a pc in the car? I'd prefer the xbox as it is a compact package with simple menus, has a remote control, plays games and all those other reasons, but then again will probably end up getting linux for GPS...

    Any thoughts/advice?

Thanks very much for your help - this site's very informative.

    Rohan
