I want YOU to buy my 300ZX as a wreck

Am hijacking this thread until Pexzed grants me permission to create a new post in the selling thread as I've forgotten my ancient email address when I first signed up here many moons ago...

Have been done up the bum by my insurer and forced to offload my one true love as a wreck- hoping someone can use the good parts to better their own car- if you fixed my car up and I saw it on the road I'd possibly have a kiniption and be devastated like a jealous ex girlfriend. lol.

Long story short- I avoided a ninja wallaby on the road and consequently ran through a small tree and into a power pole. How I wish I had of creamed that wallaby now...

The specs-


1990 300zx pure sex TT Auto.
Complete car with physical and mechanical damage (but nothing in comparison to the emotional damage its demise has caused the owner).

ACCIDENT DAMAGE:
Front left panel needs replacing. Front bumper, left head light, front left indicators, intercooler, water overflow needs replacing. Paint faded on bonnet and rear.

ENGINE DAMAGE:
Right head cam gear makes a lot of noise. Lack of oil?

THE GOOD:
Block was rebuilt approx. 50k ago. Forged pistons. Wiring loom was rebuilt with new connectors throughout. 2 x T28 ( Disco Potatoes) with roller bearings were installed. Interior in good condition. AC works. All other panels 100% straight. 18" mags. Tyres 50%+.

Have spent over 30K on the car and know that with the shitty economy, new p plater laws etc that getting done up the bum by my insurer is only the start of what's to come in my financial screw over- so give me some offers but I'm ideally looking at the 3.5K bracket.. Don't roll your eyes lol. I'm starting probs high and seeing how I go from there. I am obviously a realist and am willing to work with you on a price- am flexible with viewing arrangements etc etc

If I had a boyfriend in the know to break this baby down then obviously I'd get more by parting it out piece by sexual piece. But I don't- so I'm selling it as a whole wreck. Still debating on whether to do this with my tyres as they are 2K alone...

If my bank balance wasn't already sodomised then I'd be wanting to get this back on the road- but reality is a curse...

Engine on its own, how much......

 

Hmm I think that's a mute question because the whole car has to go. I've got no idea how to take that thing out. It's not a working engine since my accident- it's been stuffed from the impact but my insurer is saying that it's a grey area and have settled on the cheaper option for them- that it's just normal wear or tear. Which I've disputed obviously.

 

Where is the car and how much do you want for it?

 

off topic, but how did that stuff your engine? or is the damage more structural than it looks... those panels can be replaced, but if the passenger side door isnt shutting properly now its a jig job to pull that back straight...

 

I copped the same damage to my Z it it cost me about $250 to replace the head light, SMIC and guard. It's no where near the chassis. I didn't have to worry about insurers though.

 

Is this a 2+2 in the Logan area?

 

For future reference, Is there such a product as a sump guard for vg30de?

 

No guard is going to stop damage to the sump from a gutter, etc. Unless it's like half inch steal plate....and that won't be good for handling. :rofl:

In all seriousness, the location of the sump up against, and just behind the front subframe is pretty well protected. But like anything in a zed. Offroad excursions can pose a mild risk of damage.

Still restricted on posting attachments ie pics- so thanks to Cam for putting a few up for me- if you want the rest then I'm happy to email them to you until my restrictions are lifted.

I don't know- hence my insurer sitting on the fence for the last 6 months

The passenger door definitely shuts- I never said that it didn't... Something has gone wrong with the engine due to impact- which was noted by the assessor on my claim- but then they backtracked and said that due to the year model that it was likely wear and tear- completely ignoring the fact that I've had everything replaced in and on that car- so it was mickey mouse- had engine rebuilt, 2 lots of new turboes, everything you can think of. But this information was worthless to them once they'd made up their little minds- and I'm over fighting through the ombudsman and just want to move on and sell this sexpot and find a 300zx boy to date to get my fix. lol lol.

Rebuilt forged motor and T28's gotta be worth a look .

BTW that curb is no where near high enough to cause major sump damage .

Lots of PMs asking if it's turbo- yes twin turbo. Also- I've got central locking, reverse parking sensors, mongoose alarm system and immoboliser, ummm some cool stereo thing that I can't recall. AND the back panel lights up the Z in green. I've heard that this is rare?? It looks hottttt!!! This car gets the looks- I should know- I'm now driving a Rav4 and feel like a pleb on the road. lol.
