Ok so long story short I want my zed to be faster. Since I got engine out and finally got some cash together. I am about to place an order with z1 and get some goodies. But before I do I conzult the the kings of the Zeds. (you guys)

I got 253rwkw with Stock turbos, stock injectors 14psi, FMIC underdrive pulley kit, exedy clutch and hitech ecu, and a few other small things that prob don't make any diff at all.

So I want to order the gt2560r kit which i know isn't good for huge power but it has good response, a 555 injector kit, bigger oil cooler and some small replacement parts that have nothing to do with more power. Anyway my question is will this get me over 300rwkw with around 18psi? Obviously it's a guess but a rough estimate is a good place to start.

Oh and brakes and suspension already done. So don't need to make it stop any better. And does anyone still tune the hitech or should I get a new ecu?? Thanks as always guys!

you have 253 kws. at the moment = 339hp
    300 kws is 400hp...

do you research and buy the parts...

word of warning tho.. if your engine hasnt had the vitals aka 100k service and been looked after you will be pushing sh*t uphill...

i dont know why everyone is obsessed with 300kw's .. 400 horse isnt that much...
the guys in the states are pushing over 450hp out of stock turbos..

if your going 2 the effort of pulling the engine . get some decent size turbos and boost her up and shoot for 550..

bloody simmo and his bad influencing.... its cos of comments like those that make me think too much about more power and causes me to do stupid things...

but simple answer yes you will make your target with the turbos your planning on getting....

Sweet. thats all I wanted to know. CHEERS

As for the previous comment on the engine condition. It's like brand new. But there is a small amount of play in the turbo shaft. I don't want to put the engine back in with that like that. All cyls above 150psi 100k service done ages ago. I have had the thing for 5yrs and only done 10,000 kays on it. It's basically kept in a sealed container with covers all over it. Oil changed every 1000kays. I know that is often but it sits for so long that it's prob necessary lol

As for 300kw being a goal. Well if so many people are doing it, then the engines seem to safely handle that. I don't want 550hp at the wheels and then destroy the car in the first week. So that is my reasoning:D

yes you will make 300rwkw with gt28r's with good upgrades
I would add twin intakes and manis/3" dumps
and a responsive 300rwkw street car is fast

every 1000km might be a little over the top for oil changes...

depends. if you spend over 6 hours on the dyno . changing the oil wouldnt be a bad thing :D:D:D:D

hmm must have the sub facing the rear and a hektic base line to make that sorta power...

I've made (officialy) 274RWKW at 15PSI with GT2560R turbos, Wizard has made 320KW @ 20PSI with a virtually identical setup although mine was a power sapping auto when I did my run.

Also I don't know why you have 18PSI locked in, these turbos were designed to sing at 20PSI.

    by the same logic..........

if these turbos are designed to "sing" at 20psi, why are you only running 15?

    Hey guys,

Just because he's aiming for 300rwkw doesn't make him another Icer  :p...so don't go too hard on him with the "fully sic" jokes, he's asking legitimate technical questions so give him a hand ;)

I'd say he's aiming for 18psi as he didn't know that fact and I'd say 90TTZ is only running 15psi because he doesn't have the supporting mods to support the power 20psi would put out...just a guess?

    Cheers!

That was the last time 90TTZ was on the dyno... I can confirm that it makes well over 300 'seat-of-the-pants' kw at 20pound :D[TIS]

Is 20psi safe to run on stock internals?
