I want a set of these brakes offered by Just Jap they look pretty good. Monster brakes What do you guys think??? That would certainly fix the poor brakes I reckon. Pretty good value with pads, braided lines and adaptors included as well as delivery. I know I took it off the Skylines site but on Nissan Silvia Steve from just jap stated there are kits available for the zed! I am mega serious about getting these. Cheers Rich
Only got one question, and one only..... Does it fit ??? Anything else is irrelevant, they look sht hot and will probably tear your eye balls out of their sockets when you plant those puppy anchors If they fit, get them ??? Just double check they actually fit, we had one NA'er try to fit TT calipers at Mr Zee's tech day and he learnt the hard way that TT wont clear inside NA, ie can't just put them straight in, minor changes had to be made etc If they fit, get them !!! Adrian
just gotta correct you adrian i tried to fit TT rotors onto my NA calipers (which i thought were TT calipers cause my car is a 1992 model and i was under the impression that series 2 NA's had TT calipers, i have since bought TT calipers and they fitted perfectly), but i believe that if they were providing a full front brake kit, you would be able to bolt it on. probably minus the stone guard. who is G4 racing? never heard of that brand before
Get the stoptechs, they are proven. only a couple hundred extra and has the correct sized pistons to proportion front/rear braking for the Z32.
Re: Get the stoptechs, they are proven. yeah.. i wouldnt go round putting on newbies chinese copies, proven stuff for an extra couple of hundred (where do you get these by the way?).. go the stoptechs
You can have Optimus Prime himself grabbing onto your rotors but if you don't have the rubber to hold the road, then what is the point? if your stock brakes can get the ABS happening, then your first brake upgrade should be bigger and better tyres
Re: You can have Optimus Prime himself grabbing onto your rotors most brakes can easily lock up tyres (my leading drums on my mini could too) bbuuttt.. most brakes will not be able to lock the wheels after initial braking, and especially if they get all hot under the collar after a few laps ie, start braking from 100, pretty hard, then push harder and harder, you will find she wont lock up until shes almost stopped. bigger brakes will definately slow you down quicker.. as an example i used to have a mini, with drum brakes out front.. i could easily stomp the pedal and lock up all 4 wheels, but my mate with cooper disks up front could bring the car to an actual stop wwaaaayyy quicker than i could.. we even had the same rims and tires and shocks
2ND!!! The stock calipers are great. And have potential far beyond what most people utilize. A good bleed, good pads, good rotors and good tyres will give a massive increase. Throw in a cylinder brace and you'll be stopping hard and fast. I've got 255 conti's on the front, grip to buggery, and i can still kick start the ABS if I jump on the brake pedal hard. PLus those G4's look gay...never heard of em.
